Gerry is getting worse than Beetlejuice. At least you had to mention *his* name *three* times before he came over to ruin life for everyone.

They say Adam Lambert is keeping Queens music alive well so are a zillion other Queen tribute bands and they do it better!
Freddie Mercury won best male vocalist in "Classic Rock Magazine and also a poll on Radio 2.
Adam Lambert, well he got zero points, but never mind he may make the top 1000 some day eh?

Haters, haters, haters.... and negativity. Well, there's certainly a lot of that in your comment isn't there?
What about trying to not label people as "haters" who voice their opinions on a performance, or artists, or music, or anything or the sort, just because you disagree with what they say?
If anything, the "haters" just might be the ones that, well... hate seeing any form of criticism of Queen+ or Lambert, y'know?
I've seen too much of this kinda of bullshit on Queen pages of late.

you're clearly a hater-hater-hater, Day dop! lol
I think miraclesteinway was referring to the sort of people that just incessantly insult Lambert and the whole idea of the collaboration (ie gerry, or whatever he's calling himself now.....or like the guy on QOL that called AL a 'fat transvestite' among other things)....plenty of that going on in places like this........

Pages of meaningless quarrelling all these years after, and it happens over and over and over again. People don't learn from their mistakes.

Put it this way:
Some people don't like Adam Lambert. That's cool, no artist can be liked by everyone.
Some people don't really like Adam Lambert singing with Brian and Roger, and using the band name (which has become a brand name) Queen. That's OK too. I can understand that for some, Queen has to be John, Freddie, Roger and Brian.
There are those who feel that there are better singers who could have been chosen - Marc Martel is being cited as one of them - that's cool too. I think Marc Martel is a great singer.
I think to Roger and Brian they would rather that Queen was John, Freddie, Roger and Brian, but they have two problems, both of which seem to be insurmountable. They've made a decision to go on as Queen, without two of the original members. That's hard for some fans to take.
What I'm talking about really is the constant lambasting (that was almost a pun) that the whole band get from those who not only don't like it, but seem to make it their moral duty to really stick the knife in and come up with all sorts of reasons why this is the worst thing ever.
You know what, yes, there are those who offer constructive criticism as to why they don't like this whole affair. They offer reasons why to them, Adam Lambert isn't right for Queen and why the band don't sound right without John. All of these fair criticisms are valid.
But then there are those who just feel the need at every given opportunity to not criticise, but insult the project and insult those who like it.
You could say this:
Brian and Roger don't have the energy they had 30 years ago, and the band sound is weak without John's incredibly important input - since his bass lines were complete melodic structures and his sense of improvisation within the confines of each song was critical to the live performance. Adam Lambert might have the range and he's certainly charismatic, but personally I think he tries too hard and his voice has neither the gravitas nor the drama that Freddie had, and personally I think there are other more creative singers who could do a better job (lists singers).
That could be seen as a constructive criticism.
You could also say
Adam Lambert is a squealing goat who sounds fucking crap all the time, and is basically a cash cow for his crap record company, and Brian and Roger are just a couple of old farts who have taken it upon themselves to shit all over Queen and Freddie's legacy, when they both know that they should've been committed to an old folks home 10 years ago.
That is an insult.
You could also say
"I don't like this collaboration, but good on the guys for carrying on. I'd rather watch Freddie on DVD, so I won't be spending the £80 for the ticket this time, but you know, it's their call"

Freddie wasn't even placed on New Faces or Opportunity Knocks! What a loser....

It depends. Lambert introduced Queen music to younger generation, one without prejudice towards gay men. Music sales should reflect, if audiences like Queen back. Hey, perhaps Queen could finally make the cover of the Rolling Stones Magazine? On the other, I am a traditionalist. I would never go see Queen in the current form.

you like polls do you? - you use polls as your bible/benchmark - for how good/bad someone is...ok muckah...then perhaps you'll also accept these greatest rock singer polls:
1] Freddie Mercury = 4th
http://www.guitarworld.com/greatest-rock-singers-all-time-readers-poll-ultimate-showdown-robert-plant-led-zeppelin-vs-chris-cornell-soundgarden
have you yet worked out how stupid your "poll logic" is? what a banal mentality - if you accept the premise of "opinion" as the basis of measurement of "who's best", then you accept ALL POLLS or NO POLLS. By accepting the polls you chose, you also accept (by default) all other polls
your 'seven year old in the playground "my dad's better than your dad" mentality' has no place in adult conversation.
