Because that's what my laptop came installed with when I bought it 7 years ago. Anything else would cost money, and Vista does what I need. And actually, it's the last version of Windows where "Classic" desktop style actually does what it says on the tin, so I quite like it. Windows 7 at work drives me nuts, I hate the new style Start menu.
What people don't realise is Vista and Win7 are basically the same operating system. Why people hate Vista and love Windows 7 is a mystery to me, they're essentially the same. Microsoft just put a few tweaks onto Vista, called it Windows 7 and relaunched it and this time people liked it. Very strange.

Hmm, the transfer of disc 1 is rather better. A lot of disc 2 has mains hum on it, which is a shame. And the audio fidelity of disc 2 isn't as good as disc 1 either.
I'm grateful for what we have, but I really hope the plan to get the tapes to Brian's Wig eventually happens. He did a great job on transferring my tapes and I'm sure he can do quite a lot better than this.

Queen-fans should be able to work together on this one so the definitive version (in best possible lossless quality) is the one heard by all... Every show deserves that and this one especially since it's so good and unique.

Just a matter of taste. Vista and Windows 7 the same? Completely wrong. Vista had lotta bugs, Windows 7 had lotta less. Windows 8.1 (I'm actually using that one) it's really stable.
Pay for an operating system? Really? lol ;)

Oh you silly pirrrate. You're lucky, as me, of living in Argenchina. Here we can have illegal software, maybe where he lives there's some kind of penalty, as in Spain with the P2P system. And I'm not talking about the "FBI is going to accuse you with mom of watching silly pirate movies".
And being serious, Vista when was launched, it was a living torture (not turtle), that's why it's so infamous. But thanks to Windows Update, now it's almost as good as 7.

I always thought Windows Vista was released after Windows XP ... but Ale has edumacated me.
Not everyone can spend lavishly on a new computer and a new operating system - Not everyone is rich
My younger son's old computer was running XP until a few weeks ago until my older son installed Windows 10 for free (using a Windows 10 developer pack).
Where I work, I was using Windows XP until a year or so ago when my work laptop went kaput. I am now on Windows 7 on a new work laptop. Where I work, they skip operating system upgrades (skipped Vista and Windows 8).
I agree with this skipping policy, as updating every time a new operating system comes out is a waste of money.
That said, I will likely update my home computer from Windows 7 to 10 for free soon (after it is released and after a service pack is issued).

Of course Windows Vista is not from 1997, if you were a bit clever, you'd know that I was joking.
You don't need a new computer to run Windows 8.1. You don't need to pay for Windows 8.1 or Windows 7... torrents, The Pirate Bay... ring a bell?

I hoped that you were kidding, but you actually are a pirating douchebag.
How many official Queen products have you actually purchased?

The piracy in Argentina and South America is common, due to the high prices of the software and the taxes of the imported products in comparison to our salary, or in comparison to the common sense.
Buying an operative system is like buying a new video module in Argentina (the NVIDIA or AMD ones), excepting if you are kinda' rich or you give a shit about money.
And even the rich buy computers with a pirate software, as people in Spain.

I've spent more money on Queen items than you educating your children.

I bet you prefer buying an original Windows than having dinner out with your wife... and maybe she left you... or she died because she preferred that so instead of living with a retard like you... who the fuck knows.

Back on topic, let's not feed the trolls...
I'm waiting anxiously for the lossless transfer from the Sun city tapes. Let's give Anthony some time and space to do it.
