1996 EU version is the best Fun In Space on CD.

Japanese 1996 CD unfortunately has early fadeouts. But 2013/15 remaster has slower speed with even earlier fadeouts.

A stupid question...
If master tapes have some troubles and are damaged...

Why didn´t they use the Fun In Space1996 remaster instead the original tapes if they were damaged...?

Sure that they can EQ the 1996 CD to sound as "loud" as the new remasters...

Actually I just compared the '96 and '13 and there doesn't seem to be that much difference in volume.

Maybe I should just dig out my LP test pressing, capture that and use izotope to de-hiss and de-click....

Hopefully I still have that 1996 EU CD :-)

Don't de-hiss and de-click, use a good record cleaning machine instead. (VPI for example)

Confirm, "My Country" from the new vinyl is awful and just aches to listen to it! How come somebody issues something like this? "Fun in Space" in general is no better so I think the best idea is to search for the old LPs (can be bought really cheap) or 1996 CDs.
