Roger Taylor was a womanizer man?

I think he was the most (well maybe) interesting songwriter. It seems that he was the only one who kind of pulled Queen towards the trends in the musicworld. But when i look at it then i guess i liked Freddie and Brians songs the most. They were faboulus but pretty predictable sometimes.
What a great band!

discosucks has a point, though he's far from dumb. And yes, he was definitely the worst songwriter in Queen.
The relation between being a womaniser and being stupid doesn't strike me as evident.
Freddie was the best songwriter in Queen, Brian probably the second, and John and Roger are a tie IMHO. But it's a matter of taste. I'm a worst songwriter than John and Roger, I don't consider me as stupid. And I guess that 100% of the members of this forum are worst songwriters than Roger. Are we a forum of stupid people, or is discosucks just a troll?

... He carried Queen from the mid-80's onward ...

Radio GaGa, One Vision, A Kind of Magic, The Invisible Man, BreakThru, These are the Days of Our Lives and Heaven for Everyone.

Of course it's a matter of opinion, but Jesus Christ, those songs don't even come close to comparing to any on the first 4 albums, if not all the albums up until then.

I mean have you even listened to The Invisible Man? It's horrible.

When asked what his dream was, Roger Taylor replied with "To be rich, famous, happy and popular." I assume you are a big Queen fan, and I find it surprising that you are yet to figure out that Roger is a moron.

He was smart enough to put "I'm In Love With My Car" on the B-side of "Bohemian Rhapsody", therefore receiving equal royalties to Freddie every time someone bought the single. He ended up buying a mansion before any of his bandmates.

Probably was.

He seems to be the stupidest member of the band, by far. In terms of intellect.
Have you ever watched any interviews with him where he isn't talking about Queen? He has pretty strong views on a number of things, and he backs them up quite knowledgeably and thoughtfully. He's never struck me as unintelligent at all.

Unless we've got access to IQ tests for all of them, we can't know. And even then, we could quibble that those tests aren't too accurate, etc.

You could also make a case for any of them being allegedly cleverer or less clever than the rest of them.

John was, after all, the financial brain of the band. He was also educated to a high level and managed to have a far higher hit to song ratio than any of his band-mates.

Brian's the only one of them to have a PhD (unless, of course, John got one at some point and we just don't know it). But again it doesn't mean the other three wouldn't be able to, had they tried.

Roger's been described as witty and clever. Clever is not just about being an astrophysicist or electrical engineer. A biologist/drummer can be just as, or even more, or less... it's not necessarily related. Same for a graphic designer / singer who couldn't drive but was an extraordinary musician.

Then again, none of us (as far as I know) know any of them, other than their music and some unsubstantiated rumours spread by the press. Any judgement we pass has as many chances of being accurate as if I tried to establish a psychological profile of the man (or woman, or robot) who designed the computer screen I'm looking at, based on its dimensions, materials and settings.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

His answers are frustrating, but that's John I guess. At least he's honest when he doesn't know how to/doesn't want to answer the question.

If it's real, it's amazing how he never commits to giving a particular viewpoint, and never elaborates at all. But then again, we do indeed expect that from Deacy.

^ I got it from Mr Fuller's Tumblr. You can see his watermark on the pictures. As for the origin and authenticity of this you'll have to ask him.
