As to 'The Midnight Special' (personal knowledge only).
If I saw an advertisement that they were going to be 'on' for a period of time, I would watch. Caught the BoRhap vid 4-6 times. After that, I was working 2nd shift plus OT, and hitting a bar afterwards, where I saw STL twice.
No idea if any NOTW vids were shown, as my interest in the show had severely waned.
Absolutely have no clue as to why I remember Debby Harry introducing the FBG vid (and groaning to the occasional slo-mo).
Those were the last times I saw those videos until around '97 or so.
MTV did an edited Caracas concert late '83/early '84, back when 11pm on Saturday nights was 'must see TV' for their concert offerings.
The US VH-1 show that is being referenced was called My Generation. It was normally hosted by Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits. Brian hosted two episodes in 1991 to help promote Innuendo.[/QUOTE]
I remember watching that! I thought it was later than that, though.....maybe I saw a rerun :D
I think they would have a 'guest host' from time to time, though I can't remember who else they had aside from Brian....the one thing I remember was Brian breaking out the Red Special and playing a few licks before introducing one of the videos :D
Also there was that 'semi-unplugged' performance he did for VH1 in '98....

tried to correct my earlier erroneous post, but cannot.
It was a South American concert....not sure of location. Sorry if I raised any false hopes from my haste and faulty at times memory
