Well, it's definitely one of Freddie's best shows - but there's three other guys on stage!

It's really hard to pick the best show overall!
I always knew I was a star And now, the rest of the world seems to agree with me-Freddie Mercury

Their live aid performance was probably the best gig, but for a concert, a crazy tour show???

Answering this question is like asking which's your favorite son. At least to me.
Don't forget my collection of demos and outtakes: http://goo.gl/uQARhn PM me if you want any [leaked] multitrack. Ya se ven los tigres en la lluvia.

Hard question. Asking for the top 25 Queen concerts would be much easier :)

God the responses to this question is going to invite those who say "Freddie reached a b4 on this note" thereby implying it's the greatest concert ever discounting that the rest of the song could be crap or brian, rog and john had a bad night.

I was there for both nights and to this day they are the best concerts I have ever witnessed.

Sorry to say but I put my neck out for Tokyo 04/25/79 bad luck for Freddie , but all were on fire , Imagine Freddie with a outstanding vocal....

Meinham 19,200 Freddie hit a C4 -B4 imploding upon the stage.

It was extravagant .... BUT very casual for Freddie.

Phenomenal!

(Whichever concert you got to see with Freddie was probably IT..... recordings ate completely deceptive but thank God for em. particularly with this band)

[/QUOTE]I listened to the tarantura boot (Btw, what are they waiting for at tarantura to release some more?) from the Tokyo 04/23/79 show and was indeed blown away by the playing of "the other 3", especially Brian hits a level there, wow!
The ultimate Queen-show would probably be a mix of japan'79 for the instrumentalists en Crazy tour for the lead vocal...

Or, if Freddie was in Houston-like-voice (or even better) in LA 12/22/77 and the rest of the band was on fire like they usually were during that tour, then that might be my pick!

The interesting thing is that someone with the nickname "Strange Frontier" once posted a list of 1979 live recordings in Brian's personal archives and the second Newcastle show was included in that list... If Queen only released an extensive 1979 boxed set... I think they have about 25 (or maybe even more) shows from that tour in the archives!
