@Sikke: hey brother how are you? the reason that i'm writing is beacause some many years ago, you transferred it a vhs tape or betamax tape from queen caracas concert to user called pittrek http://www.queenzone.com/forums/1255663/1981-09-27-caracas-dvd-small-upgrade.aspx?page=1
and recently i shared a dvd Bootleg from that concert only that the version i have is nstc not pal and hot have any interviews or soundcheck and eny edits....
Just i want to know how the quality of that vhs tape raw i think....because it has different angles and of course he did some edits on the tape he had transferred on his own Computer, when i saw that concert shared by pittrek the image it not was flickering and the interviews to the band was nice quality.
Please could you send me a sample showing me how it was the original qualitybefore he remastered the video tape, because i want to do a comparision from your vhs tape with my own that i post: http://www.queenzone.com/forums/1412103/queen-live-in-caracas-1981-dvd-pro-shot.aspx
on my post i has some snapshot that i putted.
sorry if my english isn't good.

Trade list? It's 2015 - you can download all of this.
Isn't this just a copy of the old queencollector.com site? It's the same listings, and even with the wrong dates for the Paris 79 stuff - I thought we went through that stuff years ago.
Sigh.
Queen collectors are a unique breed.

Quite, I'm merely pointing out that it appears he has no carrot to dangle

Really strange that nobody knows where the master tapes are. Will we ever see this awesome concert somewhere in better quality?
I just love the way it was shot, not very steady or professionally, but very close to the stage and with lots of close-ups from the band members.

Well Jack Torrance,i don´t know to how explain about my version, first i'm from venezuela, and this dvd-r bootleg that i shared i bought to a bootleger ten years ago, because the first that i had was some that i upload from this page, when i bought this version i compared that video that i bought the colors were more high than than was previously shared by marknow.....i think that the video that i shared were taken or copy from the tv station, when i said copy is transfer to computer....for this is teory from a user called brian wig: I have no idea as to the source, but the picture has some form of solarisation effect to it which, as someone who worked with transferring videos to VCD and then DVD in the early days, suggests to me that a low resolution capture card was used to get it into the computer before being converted to mpeg2 for DVD.
It's always possible that the Master tape is on Hi-Band Umatic and was copied to VHS which was subsequently sneaked out of the TV station and captured to a PC in someone's home.
Remember, there were no standalone DVD Recorders on the market when this first appeared and unless you had £1000 for something like a Matrox video capture card, the only other alternative was low quality mpeg2 capture (at best!) because the graphics card element of the devices weren't up to the full colour ranges we have today.
and another teory from other user: Read this thread: http://www.queenzone.com/forums/1318757/queen-music-download-announce-queen-27-09-1981-poliedro-de-caracas-venezuela-flac.aspx?page=3
Specially the posts by the user "P-Tr extinction event ". He even posted a link to the venezuelan national library where they have the 1 hour TV special on video for local loan.
I hope this will get you closer to your answers.
on my opinion my version is raw video that mixed from the u-matic that never was showed on tv...i heard only a bits on a program la musica que sacudio al mundo on 1981....
The Local tv station is called radio caracas television, and the three concerts were recorded using twelve camaras, why i know that because on songs live somebody to love,i need your loving tonight, and now i´m here showed to roger taylor´s drum back part....pittrek has version from a betamax and is not so flickering and the quality is little bit superior because is betamax that he shared, to me don´t like he did with colors, because he told that he did a color correction and that video was shared by sikk(gostwithasmileisback) he said that the video was pal betamax from vhs tape..and it was low generation....on my raw video i think is first generation video.....on this discution about the video talked is my raw version, talked by brians wig and cesar beltran..
Seems like this site summed up some interesting stuff about their gigs over there...the bad thing my Spanish is shite...at best :)

Okay this is all good information.
Quote from Diego Alejandro : "and the three concerts were recorded using twelve camaras" How sure are you on this ? I only count 3 camera's : 2 on either side of the stage and 1 roving around the stage.

12 cameras sounds unlikely.

Snow Producciones has a 2009 version that looks pretty good.

Does anyone have that version?

Just got a screen shot in the mail, how does it look?
A vob file link will appear at TTD[/QUOTE]
Screenshot looks pretty good! But It seems that it also has the wrong color-conversion, but I'm not sure.
Could you share it also on here? Or notify me when it''s avalaible at Traders Den.
