What would a new Queen Album be like?

Say if Freddie was alive and they released an album with him recently...
1.What sort of thing do you think they would name it?
2.Do you think they would try something new?
3.How would the songs sound?
4.Do you think the tracks will fit well or will it be messy?
5.Do you think it will have 2 sides or 1 side?
6.Would it be better than Made In Heaven in your opinion? (I love Made In Heaven personally)

Oh man. So much speculation. Okay, I'll try my best.

1. Life On Three Legs
2. Perhaps. Dubstep? Not sure they'd go there. Maybe they'd get more guest artists involved.
3. Good but probably not as exciting as I doubt the band would have been the main thing in their lives, I doubt they'd still be hungry for music. But who knows.
4. Anything can happen. I suppose the producer plays a big part there.
5. No sides.
6. Probably not. But MIH wouldn't be there at all if Freddie was still around.

Hmm, interesting thought.....

What would it have been called? Who could even guess that one, really....other than like they sometimes did, they might have named it after a song. Or maybe they might have made an album that was a deliberate throwback to their early years and called it "Queen III" :D

Would they have tried something new? I'd say no, given that Brian and Roger's post-Queen solo work hasn't been much a departure from the Queen sound....you could imagine a lot of those songs on a Queen album....who's to say what directions Freddie would have taken things, though?

It'd probably have the big over-bloated / over produced in your face Queen overkill sound that Brian and Roger went for on Made in Heaven (that's not to say it's a bad album though, but that sound does get a little predictable and even a bit cringe-worthy in places - think of the newer version of I Was Born To Love you). In saying that, Innuendo had hints of them going in the right direction. Maybe they'd have got their shit together, but then again, looking at Brian and Rogers output since, and Freddie mostly abandoning taste in the 80s, it leaves me doubtful.

Funny...in the last past days I asked myself wich way they would go lyric wise on a potentially new Album. In my opinion a singer like Adam Lambert blocks some content like "Was it all worth it". I can hardly imagine him deliver songs with a retroperspesctive subject.
Are they cursed to do an Hot Space or AKOM Part Two ?

It`s not a bashing - just my opinion.

.... who knows.

Far too much speculation unless you're talking about a Lambert collaboration.

Now if they did an album with guest singers of a great caliber you'd have something.

David Bowie
Annie Lennox
Billy Joel
Paul McCartney
the Foos.

Aaaand...... maybe Adam Lambert

I think the chances of me liking an album by Brian, Roger and him would be very very slim. If they did, there'd be pictures of Lambert in my Facebook newsfeed left, right and center From the Official Queen facebook page. For that reason alone, aside from any other, I'd much prefer it if they didn't.

I've said it a few times, something like that could be good....just call it a "Queen+" album.....half of the songs with Brian and/or Roger singing, the other half with other singers....Adam, Kerry, and Paul (singing Take Love?)..

Of course, a whole Queen + Adam album would be just fine with me, though :D

I could see them being something like the Stones or the Who at this point....still putting out albums and having huge massive tours, but not at the frequency they did in the 70s/80s, and Freddie, Brian, and/or Roger fitting other projects in between...

amazing how many people actually didn't get the OP's main point....

I would say they would be just a touring band, clocking $1,000 a seat, and throwing a great show or even better. I doubt Freddie would bother to get creative. I think he would prefer to clip the coupons and entertain the audience, rather than spend time in the studio.

I "got" the OP'S criteria but completely dismiss it as extremely far fetched nonsense. ... something a 9 year old would postulate (ignoring the painful death)

But if you insist.

Queen - they'd have released four albums since 1991's miraculous recovery of Freddie Mercury (I've always postulated this was A REASON for the song/album title back then...

I don't know what any of those albums would've been called either.

The duets with Michael might have been finished although it seemed the band preferred to stay distant from him.

Let's see. .. 2015 QUEEN : LEGACY

Features:

A dance song duet with Lady Gaga in an attempt to resurrect HER career after that artpop piece of shit (* I won't even acronym it the album sucks. Moreso than her older shit and occasional hits)

A song to be featured on the next JAMES BOND FILM (orchestra supplied by exorbitant costs incurred in bond films)

1 acoustic song
1 John Deacon song that can either be interpreted as a break up song/song for independence or as a song of dissent and distrust in the band
2 Brian May rockers with patched synth industrial like stuff
1 Brian May anthem that gets overlooked due to the 007 song
4 songs from Freddie : one almost afro Cuban, one powerful, one breezy lounge "harry connick jr" style and one horribly bad attempt at a dance track

Of course the album titles will be credited to QUEEN. ..

There may have been an original montage done with an original theme for TED 2. Possibly a joke about Freddie and a lavish suite

Getting far fetched enough?
