If the progression from Rainbow --> Hammersmith '75 is an indication, a Hyde Park box-set would look something like this:
- 2 CD (with at least one song miraculously cut out, but offering an additional 4 minutes of crowd-noise before the music starts)
- DVD + BluRay (not the one or the other, oh heavens, no)
- Deluxe book (all pages blank)
- Bag of dried grass from Hyde Park (first 1000 numbered copies also get a vial of mud)
- Bonus DVD: "Hyde Park: Audience Perspective" -
the full concert (minus that one song) in audio with video of the sky over Hyde Park. Stage not visible.
- Signed Adam Lambert photograph
- Reproduction tickets, buttons and the like. Upon closer examination, these turn out to be from the Queen + AL tour.
The price will, of course, be 399 pounds (€559 / $615).
Don't forget the extra 30 mins Blu Ray footage of the crowd stumbling out of the park in the total darkness after all the power to the lighting was cut
what about the "Special Limited Edition" re-issue?
includes:
Half-drunk bottle of Fanta Orange - with floating food crumbs
An (unused) London Underground Tube Ticket
A urine-soaked Disinfectant Soap Block from the Chemical Toilets
No. Every documentary before 2011 includes excellent quality video with crap audio. All post-2011 releases have both excellent video and excellent audio.
I agree, that does sound and look good. I meant confirm the complete audio multitracks and video of the whole show,ie not just one or 2 songs.

I was at this gig. There were no tickets and even though I've just found a reproduction of the programme on Queenconcerts, there must have been very few printed. They weren't being given out at the gates because there was no entrance to the gig. Add to that virtually no security. The park was open and you could come or go as you liked but once you were there that was it really - to move from where you were would have meant losing your place.
I remember turning round and seeing how far the crowd stretched back - amazing sight...

The 2011 ADATR deluxe had You Take My Breath Away rom Hyde Park as an extra in (pardon the pun) breathtaking quality. Clearly they have the audio multitracks.

Yes,I'm aware of the live version of YTMBA on the 2011 A day at the races. Beautiful sound on that. Well,it looks like we can all look forward to Live at Hyde Park next year then. Boy,that's something to get excited about. I wonder how much trickery (autotune) and the like they'll use on The Prophet's Song? Plus Freddie's vocal delay bit in the middle didn't work. I suppose that'll be Magicly repaired? Just a thought, what are people's opinion on these types of 'repairs' or 'restoration ' (to use QPL terms, lol)

Can anyone actually confirm tho that QPL has the multitracks and complete pro shot video of Hyde Park? I find it strange that even on documentaries, only a poor quality video of Hyde Park is included.
Who cares if they have multitracks or not. That's the point QPL just DON'T get.
If the video footage is perfect, we'll happily live with a stereo soundboard mix - after all, they don't have all the multitracks for their studio albums, but it didn't stop them "remastering" the stereo masters and releasing them all back in 2011....

I take it you've never heard the audience tape then.

Astounding how many responses to a non existent release that will never happen... :/

Such cynicism Mooghead! I personally am still nurturing my shrine to the 'Boxset' of studio demos. I am sure that QP will add some exciting extras like the napkin Freddie used to wipe away the curry when they were doing the demo to City of the Fireflies, or perhaps Brian's clog when they recorded Silver Salmon.

Don't forget that the Limited Edition should include a talking action figure, that says "SIT DOWN!"
HAHAHA ! Genius.

No need - it actually worked at the show, as it's heard on the audience recordings.
For some reason it just wasn't captured on the video feed.

Just a few songs - and unfortunately much of News Of The World is amongst them. Brian put out a plea many years ago for their safe return.

Pre and post eq loop.
Maybe they didn't have a toggle on the board for it then and merely recorded directly off the mixer rather than a post mix they received the direct feed
