They could come up with something we didn't know it existed on film. Like it happened with Fairy Feller's on Rainbow '74 ;)

One of the 3 show at the Empire Pool of London in May 78?

Doesn't it sound strange they haven't filmed or recorded at least one of those show?

That would be the best case scenario. They could pull the entire Munich '78 out of nowhere. Maybe Paris '79 in 2018 and Hammersmith '79 in 2019.

It does. And it has always bugged me a bit. There's something mysterious about those 3 London '78 shows!

Although the June '89 issue of Record Collector) magazine claims the shows (Empire Pool '78) were properly recorded, sources close to the band have since denied this.

You never know. Master-Stroke from Rainbow was a great surprise last year. And who could have thought? We'll see for ourselves in 2018.

And this year the soundcheck, it seems every year they're also releasing an unknown gem. So yeah, one way or another, we'll have to wait and see the turn of events.

I already said this, but this is a good decade to be a Queen fan :)

It annoys me that they probably have more of those unknown gems (more of the soundcheck) but only decided to release one song. And to release that exclusively on the ridiculously priced box set.

They have lots of backstage footage from Rainbow - not released.
They have both full November nights from Rainbow - they released just a mix of 2 nights.
They have the longer footage from Tokyo 75 - they released just the same cut they released before.
They have the full soundcheck from Hammersmith Odeon 75 - they will release just one track on the insanely expensive box set plus a few seconds of a second song in a documentary.

What makes you think that they will release some gems from 1978? I personally am sceptical, but I hope I will be wrong.

IF they did record all 3 London '78 shows, and IF they ever release them, it'll probably be a mix of the 3 nights.... :S

Same here. As long as the editing isn't too obvious to the untrained ear I don't care. Any instance of a complete NOTW show on video with multitracked goodness is a great thing.
