There must be more than just this. Interesting footage for sure.

The Game sessions?
Wasn't The Game recorded in Munich? Musicland - same studios as One Vision?
The studio looks like Mountain studios, in the absence of Freddie's face furniture that would put it in the Jazz era....

Yes, this Mountain studios. Thanks for the info. I thought that Brian wore a beard during game sessions)

That is home video footage of Freddie and the band at Mountain Studios working on the Live Killers album. Never been seen before .

I always assumed it's 1978-79

You're probably right. Although Freddie didn't have his "face furniture" during the first The Game sessions in the summer of 1979.

From queenlive.ca: ''The band's first live album was released on June 26, consisting of songs recorded on the previous European tour (and some overdubs done in the studio during the break after the Japanese dates)''

I always had a suspicion that this footage might come from the Live Killers studio sessions.
If that is the case I certainly can't see this ever getting a commercial release.

You mean this is the recording of the overdubs ?
They wouldn't bring profecional equipment to record this, but this can be "home-recordings", as mentioned.

Why would they need to bring any equipment? Surely all the equipment were present in the studio anyway. All they had to do was to bring the tapes in. And why would a band as big and rich as Queen do home-recordings, when they can easily book a studio whenever they want?

FWIW, Freddie wears the same t-shirt at the rehearsals for his stint with the Royal Ballet in '79:
