I always had a suspicion that this footage might come from the Live Killers studio sessions.
If that is the case I certainly can't see this ever getting a commercial release.
You mean this is the recording of the overdubs ?
They wouldn't bring profecional equipment to record this, but this can be "home-recordings", as mentioned.
Why would they need to bring any equipment? Surely all the equipment were present in the studio anyway. All they had to do was to bring the tapes in. And why would a band as big and rich as Queen do home-recordings, when they can easily book a studio whenever they want?
What i mean is i find unlikely to film material for official release for something so "controversial" as overdub sessions of live recordings.

It's so obvious they're in the Mountain Studios in the mid 1979, hence making overdubs for "Live Killers" album.

In mid 1979 they were also recording the first batch of The Game songs. It's interesting that it isn't mentioned where the June/July The Game recordings were done in the album credits. It only states that the sessions in 1980 were executed in Musicland.

That, and just simply mixing/editing the album from the live tapes. That takes time too. The overdubs were probably 2% of the process.

And John Deacon wears the same vest in this clip as he uses in the Don't stop me now video :)
Basically blind em and deaf em in the first 10 minutes, and while they are recovering from that put in the less good songs
