Nice video. Probably the most 80s thing I've ever seem. White trainers and tshirts tucked into faded denims. Lovely.

What tape in what camcorders? Are you referring to the huge cameras that were used to feed the screen? They only did just that; feed the screen. No one recorded the feed.

Logic dictates that it was indeed recorded (you are merely repeating what you have heard - you don't know for a fact that illogically it wasn't recorded). QPL have history of lying about their archives, but it is possible the video feed recording doesn't lie in their archives. Brian let slip that they did, however.

Could not agree more. For X reason QPL tends to hide info about what's in the archives. We will only know when they finally put out a Knebworth boxset. And as you say here, about the time the live aid concert was released on DVD(not just the queen segment) Brian made the comment regarding Knebworth, saying something like they could not edit the visuals just like with the live aid video, meaning they had only the screen mix to work with.

Status Quo looked way too small for that crowd. They kinda shrinked on stage.
Basically blind em and deaf em in the first 10 minutes, and while they are recovering from that put in the less good songs

That "X" reason is makerting.

Think how many threads we have here about the video of Knebworth 86 and the lost multitracks of Hammersmith 79. A good mystery add interest.

From a business side they are doing the correct thing, as a fan, of course, i would want to know what they have.
