Wow!!! Many tks Sikke for opening your vault again and Bob for letting us know.
Now this is the stuff I love the most. Studio material. And this is another proof for those unbelievers saying all over the years that there wasn't much material in the archives worth of an studio boxset/anthology.
Every year several gems surface and I am sure that when/if the day arrives, we'll all be astonished of what we see included in those compillations.
Once again, I don't expect QP to unleash dozens of rejected, completely finished and already mixed unheard songs ala Springsteen, but there must be dozens of unheard songs demoed and that is always a joy to discover (FM solo boxset anyone?). And as for backing tracks, alternative takes, mixes etc etc of well know songs... well, I am sure there must be a ton of those.
As much as I enjoy any kind of live material, the studio stuff is what makes it for me, so I try to devour and enjoy every single second of any new share like these.
Thanks again for sharing!!

This couldn't be used as extra's on the 2011 re-issues, or for that matter on the 30 anniversary editon of A Night At The Opera? It still freaks me out, that QP or anybody related to QP, for instance Greg Brooks keep on saying, there is no vault. But if there is thing what could be a vault, it is clear empty....
Thank you Bob and Sikke, I really, really enjoyed this!

They just don't want to put stuff out, unlike every other artist on the planet who now seem quite happy to release remastered albums with a second disc FULL of demos (not a paltry 5 tracks, most of which he had anyway).
I'm not a McCartney fan, but I've seen what's in his deluxe editions. THAT is what Queen should have released in 2011.

Frustrating to know that stuff like this exists, yet for the 2011 bonus stuff they actually went to the bother of creating new 'fake' mixes we didn't want or need just by dropping out certain channels (I'm In Love with My Car guitar and vocal version, Tie Your Mother Down and You're My Best Friend Instrumentals...) instead of using more stuff genuinely from the the time like the Sail Away Sweet Sister early version.

Thanks Bob and Sikke!
Can we all agree that John was a great bass player? I love what he does in the LOML sample.

^ I don't think anyone has ever questioned that John was a great bassist. :)

To me, it is in the ballades that John allows himself scope to speak more musically and individually. Especially his upper register lines, that float in counterpoint to the vocal melody. Iit wasn't always the earlier stuff either. Try the fade of Sail Away Sweet SIster and even the opening of It's a Beatiful Day share these same characteristics. As far as the harder stuff went, just listen to the live improvs of Father to Son and the verses of Flick of the Wrist where he bubbles away nicely. Again, thanks for a great share!

Absolutely.....
Sail Away Sweet Sister, Jealousy, These Are The Days of Our Lives, Love of My Life, Teo Torriatte, Millionaire's Waltz, It's Late, We Are The Champions......
I could go on to list many more examples of his brilliance and individuality; even on the really early heavy stuff he was NEVER a 'plodder' or one to fill up the spaces with low end rumble or pointless root notes. Not underrated here but certainly so in the wider 'best' musos categories where speed and 'flashiness are given false prominence.

Sikke's the man when it comes to unheard material. Remember the Las Palabras De Amor rejected demo, not the one that is circulating for years, or a Sheer Heart Attack demo version. He has a treasure chest up there and every now and then he opens it up for us with some nice material that has never been heard before. Thanks Sikke![/QUOTE]
Is there any chance to get those demos in audio form (FLAC or mp3)? Could you upload these, please?

Yet the mods are nowhere to be seen with all the shite spam that gets posted here?!? Shame....

And even more annoyingly it's not even a demo, different version, or unreleased track......it's exactly what they have released on countless re-releases of ANATO but just minus guitars, vocals and percussion.

^ Not really. Sikke's version of The Prophet's Song has some never heard before stuff on it.
