I don't think Roger was a very good lyricist, so most of his, really. Some are fun, but many mainly unimaginative.

'Sweet Lady' is absolutely dreadful. Very good piece musically, but the lyrics are just utterly stupid.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

^funny. Another exampleof disagreement. .. always thought Roger did some greats. .. notably SHA and DROWSE

Anyways. .

Play the game "the game of love has just begun. ..." that whole middle bit disrupts the song badly until just before the solo

And "Princes of the Universe"

"Born to be kings. ... Princes .... I'm here for your love and I'll make my stand"

... always felt disappointed when I first heard the REAL song instead of the Highlander bits from the film and Tv Show.

It's really tacked on!

'In Only Seven Days'.. write a story about each day of the week, everything every school kid in the world has done, only better. Freddie's version of it, Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon, is how it should be done.

Yep^ dull and uninspired delivery and/or lyrics.

And then. ...

Cringeworthy Sweet Lady is "like some kind of cheese" ... probably gouda ...

On the other hand, In Only Seven Days is a guilty pleasure for me ...

Yeah, it's a guilty pleasure for me too! - always thought of 'Grease' when listening to it, it fits perfectly!

I might get slated for it, but I never really liked Drowse. LOASA is one of my faves though. In only seven Days is ok I guess.

Yeah, 'The Invisible Man' lyrics aren't the greatest. Couldn't have said it better.

Body Language is on top of my list. Musically it's fun, but lyrics are boring... Repeat again, again and again... Only listenable parts are John's bass I think...
Get your head down baby - we're gonna ride tonight...

John's bass isn't there though is it.. the lyrics for Body Language are just "Put your willy in my bum bum...' but as a euphemism, or the other way round, or something...

I get how some people wouldn't like Roger's *(band) lyrics.
He takes on an acerbic and sometimes unsentimental tone in quite a bit of his QUEEN songs.

But for their brevity and wit, I tend to like them.

Hardly considered romantic. I think the closest he got to sentimental with the band were TATDOOL, and Radio GaGa.

Roger wasn't the best lyricist in Queen but I have to say that in I'm In Love With My Car, the line "string back gloves in my automolove" is downright cringeworthy, probably the line I hate the most in all of their songs.
