It's too soon to release Knebworth Park. So, Hyde Park it is! But I think the next release will be something else!
What do you think the next release will be then?

Hyde Park WITHOUT autotune, WITHOUT flown-in bits, WITHOUT stupid, unnecessary edits, WITHOUT excessive compression and reverb
and reissues in this puristic vein of the in their current form unlistenable Rainbow and Odeon.
Keep on dreaming. They're on a crusade of making everything sound as "perfect" and unnatural as possible.
then they'll get no money from me. while not everyone can hear the artifacts, i can and it grates on my ears. It's not an "i need to puke, oh my god oh my god" sound, but more of a "this is not right, this is not right" sort-of sound. Although on occasion they do overlap, like on Fairy Feller or Hammersmith.

Hyde Park. I'm happy enough to have a bootleg of Knebworth. Unless QPL decides to surprise us with a double concert release, I'm looking forward to seeing the Hyde Park concert released in its best quality.

Yeah I agree. I can listen to those doctored recordings without a problem, but it's on the back of my head. By the way, is there info if the vocal track on Let me in your heart again was autotuned? To me especially the higher notes he hits do not sound quite right.

It's funny how Brian is calling out artists who play live with clicktrack, but somehow is ok with tweaking past concerts till it's basically beaten to perfection in ProTools.

Interesting... what do they have in the archives from 1976 or 1986 aside Hyde Park and Knebworth?

Hyde Park, please. I want more 70s gigs, and if specially a legendary like this one.

without any doubt i would pick Knebworth. It has a very special meaning, It was Queen's FINAL concert, plus the performance is very good including the best live version of the tour of songs such as Radio Gaga, Another One Bites the Dust and Under Pressure. I think first comes Budapest, then Knebworth park, then Wembley 1st night and finally Wembley 2nd night, in terms of perfomance quality of coure.
Also The landscape you have in Knebworth it is magnificent, a big sea of people attending to a Queen concert at their peak!!
On the other hand Hyde Park is another historical Gig,
First Queen Concert at a park. Has Very nice performances of songs like The Prophet's song and You take my breath away, 2 songs that until know have never been seen in any Official live release.
Although i prefer Knebworth, any of these 2 options are great, why??
simple, cause non of them have yet seen the light of day. That makes them releases worth having.

Indeed - the latter is far more manufactured.
Though I think it's entirely possible that Brian and Roger don't really know about the editing that takes place. It seems believable that it could escape their notice - I doubt they had a proper and critical listen to the whole concerts before their release.

I wonder who's the culprit who started all this crap. I can't remember hearing anything dodgy on Wembley, Bowl etc. The compressing and autotuning started with the 2011 remasters bonus tracks.

If they skip Hyde Park'76 in this year, it would be a huge mistake. Full concert on CD and a remastered DVD/BluRay would be excellent... For Knebworth, it should be a bit early I think...

Here's my thought on the matter. Instead of Hyde Park or Knebworth (which by the way are both amazing gigs) why can't we get something from their US tour? Why not Houston 77? I know that one was professionally recorded and it's a great concert.

^ Or something like the Live At The Rainbow boxset, with both concerts and 2 DVD's/Blu-Ray's.

Unfortunately Freddie's voice was very limited at Hyde Park. Thats why I am not so keen on that concert.

No it wasn't. He has some unstable moments due to him being nervous probably, but it's mainly the tape fluttering that makes him sound weak. Just check the YTMBA performance released in 2011 - likely the best one ever.
