Bring back Futurama!!!
Well the Comedy Central episodes sucked too
I respectfully disagree. There were a number of lesser episodes, definitely, but I think season 6s "The Late Philip J. Fry" is the best overall episode in the entire series, to give but one example of a Comedy Central-era masterpiece.

On the subject of. There have been some Simpsons defectors who did RICK and MORTY on adult swim.

That show is irreverent, bizarre, philosophical and offensive as well as funny.

Recommend you watch THE LAWNMOWER DOG.

Rick and Morty is great. A good friend of mine was bugging me for over a year to watch it- can't believe I hadn't seen it sooner. Absolutely brilliant.

Which one was it? The one when Fry has the time machine button thing and stops time? That one was great, it reminded me on the great season 4 (or 5 depending how you count it) episodes, like The Sting or the one with the dog. The other episode I liked from the new seasons was the Thing / Alien parody.

The one where professor Farnsworth built a forward-only time-machine, he, Farnsworth and Bender overshoot their one-minute mark by several centuries and travel on through the future, find out it's cyclical, kill Hitler, overshoot their mark again, take it around again, kill Eleanor Roosevelt by mistake, etc.

Oh, OK, another great episode. I think I have to re-watch the last 2 seasons.

Yup.

And don't ask me why, just fucking stop making new episodes. The new chapters/seasons are the answer to this question.

there's clearly still an audience - so, no it shouldn't be dumped.
- or are we now into a realm of "i don't think t's any good, so dump it" ?
if so, there wouldn't be much of anything on TV - as most people think most things are crap

can you imagine how dull the world would be if we ALL liked Breaking Bad & Walking Dead?

Well its not a particularly massive focus group but look at the previous posts in this thread and I am seeing the same responses in other boards I have posted the question in. If Matt Groening was to keel over tomorrow (which he might just do seeing how 2016 is working out!) no one on his tribute programme will be talking about the triumphant latter years of The Simpsons. Look at Seinfeld (amongst others) that finished at the top... they remain held in such high esteem for being brilliant from beginning to end.

personally, i think it's worth both Simpsons and Family Guy continuing while the creators want to do so. why?
because the handful of genuinely funny/brilliant moments per season are still worth watching
