Quite true. It is also worth noting that Spike plays off stage more than on stage.....

Today's gig in Tallinn, Estonia was fantastic! It was an outdoor gig where the capacity is 100,000. It looked like they had that many people or at least 75,000 -- very happy, LOUD audience!

I haven't noticed that Radio GaGa is a shortened version. Adam goes into the audience and then comes back on stage and there is another segment of the RGG clapping!

Here's a panoramic view of the Tallinn audience:

They never do the 2nd verse of Radio GaGa anymore.

Official attendance number in Tallinn was 25000 as it has been said in the media.
Somewhat dissapointing. Excellent show, though.
Couldn't make out how the audience behaved - did they sing or not. But the guys looked happy, imho.

And most definetly nothing was played from the backtrack besides Freddies vocals and the stuff from BoRhap.

some of these small audience numbers don't seem to match the pics taken from the stage which seem to show pretty large, if not always sold out crowds.

As regards the question about the PA and Lighting being big enough for outdoor shows... most of these gigs are festivals or multi band events so yes the PA will be suitable for the size of venue. the stage production Queen are touring with is designed to fit into the standard outdoor multi band staging used for these types of show, so once again yes the lighting is big enough for the shows, much like it was on the last tour where it was used for ten to twenty thousand seat venues and some larger outdoor shows too.

There is a spreadsheet which shows that 75,000 tickets were sold for the Tallinn, Estonia show -- not just 25,000!

The crowd was ecstatic. There was a professor in the audience who was taking a live video of the show and every so often he would turn the camera around to the people around him -- very happy people and singing their hearts out! Something about Queen music that automatically gets that reaction! Here it is: http://www.facebook.com/niklasmyhr/videos/vb.1220443997/10206488091300635/?type=2&theater

I hope there is going to be an official DVD sold for Rock in Rio Lisboa because it is fabulous!

Please show me the spreadsheet or whatever sheet with the number 75000 on it :)
It's physically impossible, that that number of attendees was there. I have seen the venue with 70000 people, 60000 people, 50000 people... Trust me, no way that there were 75000 in Tallinn. Although, of course - i certainly wish it had been so, but it wasn't. Trust me on this one.

Here is a recording of the Cologne show. The sound was exactly like on this recording. You only need to watch until Hammer To Fall - if you still tell me there were no backing tapes you must be deaf

So which part(s) in your opinion is/are live combined with backtrack?
I'm not saying that you're wrong but my 10+ yrs in music industry says that the only thing that is from tape is the intro to One Vision. Ok, the audio quality is as it is but still, no doubts there.

I'm 99.9% sure, it's Spike and his Korg (attached to his headset mic), that might be mistaken for backtracks. Somebody posted a nice video of Spike talking about it somewhere. And who would control it? If backtracks were used, the show would be much-much more set to certain timecodes, not giving the band probably any (artistic) freedom on the stage. But still they do improvise a bit - a situation, that would be near to impossible when using backtracks.

And oh - Queen is way too oldschool for that backtrack shit :)

I love the KORG! It sounds sci-fi! Kind of like the Borg from Star Trek: The Next Generation"! :)

Ok, thanks.
With a bit of irony - i could divide all the numbers in that spreadsheet by 10 and then those would be the accurate numbers, because "the spreadsheet says so"?

But with all seriousness - 25000 is the number for Tallinn (once again - unfortunately, but better what Lady Ga-Ga drew, at the height of her career).

And the weird thing is that according to your spreadsheet, the average ticket prices are much lower in couple of countries where the income per capita is visibly higher than in Estonia. Weird.

The money machine rumbles on!

So what is the source for this? I must admit, it's selling better than one might think. It seems less than it is. And of course, compared to other acts, it's fantastic! And it is not only the sheer numbers, but the mood and feel of the show. The picture of Tallin (the panorama one) looks just great, no matter how many people attended.

Sorry, I don't know the source. It was posted on another website by someone from Australia!

Here's the live video of the Tallinn show with some occasional views of the audience:

Yeah, well.
That spreadsheet might apply for every other venue but 110% certainly not for Tallinn.
25000 was the attendance and thats the (sad?) truth.
