As usual, absolutely enthusiastic about your share on QueenI. I really appreciate having all this demos and alternate and instr. Thank you for this hard work and the share.

I saw you printed on cds. Which brand do you use?
.
I just want to keep my cds as long as possible without having to burn them every ten years or so. Maybe you or other members have advice about which cdr to use

I still didn't burn/print any album from this project... But I use printable Verbatim CDR's.

Ok thank you for your answer. I use verbatim too and I was wondering if there was a better brand. (There's always better but no one ever agrees at the end)
I was pretty sure you had posted a photo of one of the cds of your expanded collection (The Jazz one I think). The photo was shot with the cds put on a Canon printer. I guess it was someone else showing what he had done with the files you had shared.

Thank you again for your awesome work and the qualilty of the artwork.

It seems I haven't seen this photo. It's definetely not mine shot.

I've always used Verbatim since I got my first writer in '97.
They still play and read in fine, though the dye is a much darker colour on those than what they make now.
I'd like to think they've improved...

Yes Brians wig, I hope they have and I've always heard the blue ones were just the best after the silver or golden ones (kodak and fnac used to make some but I think they have stopped). Definitely the green ones are awful, especially the no names ones. So verbatim is still my first choice but I've been told about a brand "taiko yuden" that they were the best but I've never tried them. CMI collection is so cool, I'd like to burn it and keep it for long.

Taiyo Yuden ceased production of optical media at the end of 2015. As their discs are no longer available, Verbatim discs are certainly an acceptable substitute. I've never had a problem with Verbatim discs.

Taiyo Yuden were touted as being THE best disc you could buy - and you paid handsomely for it!
That's probably why they ceased production: people were less and less willing to pay the higher price.

That's a pity,

Something I would certainly pay for is superior quality cds. Too bad to have recordings corrected re EQ'd and not having the best cds to burn them. I'll do with the verbatim as I've done till now. I'll see in ten years when I am an aging fan of Queen what will happen to my cds. I'll keep the RAR files on a hard drive, just in case...

Maybe I'll be so deaf, I won't be able to hear any loss and will tell to my boys: "See those CD your old man burnt 10 years ago, how good they still sound!" And my boys will look at each other, silently with that not-long-before-he can't-hear-us look...
