This is how things should be officially done, but sadly we all know this is never going to happen. Unfortunately for us, any artist/band is a decade ahead (to say the least) of QPL´s releases policy, but we´re already used to that, so there´s no point in complaining anymore.

listening to MIH these days... excellent job !! I´m not a big fan of your decision regarding the ending of IWBTLY, but as I used to say to Matt when he was around, this is your baby and you can´t please everybody :-)

I actually loved the end of IWBTLY: a lot of the snippets used in the official mix made no sense to me, although some of it worked. Was nice to hear CMI's version with the guitar more prominent. Nice idea :)

yeah, I´m not saying I dislike it, but ... I always saw those snippets as a nod to the past, a nostalgic touch. Always loved that detail in the official mix, but hey, what makes music so great are these subjective perceptions.

And what do you think about Mother Love alternate outro version on CD2?

I know that a lot of people don't like the mish-mash at the end of 'More Of That Jazz' track.
What's the best to do with the track for expanded 'Jazz' album edition?
Remove it in the album track or add 'clean' version as a bonus? I'm in dilemma with it...

re Mother Love: I´ve always loved that alternate ending since the very first time I heard it !

re More Of That Jazz: I tend to think option B is better. Add a clean version as a bonus (I would´ve done that with IWBTLY too) and leave the original album version as it is, so you allow those who dislike the original version to change it for the alternative version, and those "purists" like me to keep enjoying the album as originally conceived, while having an alternate take to listen to from time to time.

i would agree with Vali. I am a bit more purist myself but I love the IWBTLY re-take too...in other words I love having both! So definitely make both available for Jazz as it's nice to have the alternatives :)

I have never downloaded any bootlegs / fan mixes or anything like that before. But happened to see this and downloaded A Kind of Magic. Been listening to it this morning and it is outstanding - a real quality piece of work.

Well done! Do you have any further plans? Would love to see The Miracle and The Works in particular (I'm a fan of extended versions) but all eventually :)
