EDIT:
after reading the above: Well. never mind my ramble here. Previously taped segment will likely be two performances with AOBTD as online content?

who knows.

but if they recorded 3 tunes - I think it's VERY unlikely they'd medley them into one 7 min performance.

just hopeful I guess. They ARE signed with Universal; promotion machine time. Only without advance notice - this kind of promotion is pretty dismal

Great news indeed. Graham Norton would be nice as well...with just the three of them sitting on the couch...plus maybe a comedian at the end of that couch. :D
We love you Mandy!

I'm just catching up with my recorded shows and I am currently watching Mondays episode. It starts with a note that all the shows this week are pre taped. So it probably is part of the show rather than just a 'bit'.

Ok, so it was a 'bit' but it was a good bit. I enjoyed it... cheesy but fun.
Straight after the opening titles, James mentioned that Queen were one of his favourite bands growing up and he would like to be Queens front man and claimed to be better than Adam.
Then Adam shows up and says he is the better singer, James says he can't prove hes the better Queen singer because Queen aren't there.
then surprise surprise, Brian and Roger emerge from behind the curtain playing We Will rock You with Adam
They have a sing off.
James sings Don't Stop Me Now (Not brilliantly it has to be said)
James sings Crazy Little Thing
Adam sings AOBTD
James admits Adam is actually better then wishes he could just once find someone to love him.
STL duet.
Fast finish into commercial break.

It is well worth a watch, I found it funny, but I know some people on here will think its a travesty. I enjoyed it.

(All the songs were truncated obviously) The whole bit is about 11 minutes.

I'm sure its on YouTube already

Very tongue-in-cheek and very funny, a total surprise... and REALLY good to see ANY publicity for the upcoming tour. MORE MORE MORE!

Thanks for the link. Just come here to post it myself.
What I WILL say to all the American fans here though, is that even though there's a Youtube link, it's only 720p and it's blocky towards the end, so if you're able to capture the HD transmisison stream from the broadcast, please do so! Don't be lazy and shrug off sharing a better copy just because something's already out there.

This was really good, even though typically cheesy in the James Corden way. So nice to see our old band still being on a show with such a large audience such as this.

^^^^ Thank you!
Very cringe-worthy!
Seemed somehow that Brian and Roger were the backing band for AL. AL+Queen now, I guess....?

Nah. No matter who it is, the singer is always seen before the rest of the musicians.

Unless you're in AC/DC.

I thought it was wonderful. Of course it was cheesy, but that's the nature of late night TV - scripted yet professional.

Nice to see our boys (who are pushing 70) still being relevant to American popular culture. And it's amazing to see how adaptable and universal those big hit Queen songs still are.

Enjoy this, folks - it won't be happening even five years from now.

Well said Wizard - those sort of things can be really cringeworthy but I think it was done just right; importantly they didn't take the piss out of the music, and Corden knows just how far to take any 'slapstick' and gentle mocking humour without going too far. Q&AL of course took it all in their stride too!
