THE MIRACLE album CD from Capitol Records USA

Probably most of longtime fans from Northern America have this original 1989 edition in their collections.

Please help me to find the right info...

I want to know if the CD pressing was the one and only with the same matrix or there were variations.

As the time span for Capitol Records was so limited to manufacture/distribute new pressing of the album (about one year) until the Hollywood Records contract, I'm not that sure if there was any additional press.

My CD matrix / runout features CDP 79 2357 2 and some geometric figures (probably hieroglyphs) in addition.
But the US version on discogs.com features only DIDX 080040 7 in description (https://www.discogs.com/Queen-The-Miracle/release/3660489).

Please check out your versions of 'The Miracle' from Capitol Records and post here the matrix / runout information from CD. Photo will be even better. Thanks.

Wow! Thanks a lot for your effort.

My version is exactly the same, except for CD matrix! I will upload the photo later today.

Can I ask what this is about? :O

It's not about music ;) It's a technical aspect.

Interestingly enough, this is the version that is still commonly seen in stores to this day.

I have seen the 1991 Hollywood records version literally only once.

it is curious thIs difference. Your CD has the matrix used by EMI for the european version ( I think so becsuse looking the matrix of AKOM and INNUENDO by EMI i see that the matrix have the same serial number of the barcode)

^ No, it's not the same, because european ones usually feature CDP code and the name of the factory - SWINDON in UK, UDEN in Holland, SONOPRESS in Germany...
But my CD has this CDP number and some hieroglyphs or barcode without any factory notion.
Also this CDP catalog number is international for this release, you can see it on the back sleeve, booklet and front side of CD, but you're right that it's not typical DIDX american matrix.

Slightly off topic...

Here's the first US edition of AKOM from Capitol Records...
You'll find CDP code on runout of CD and DIDX code on the backsleeve of booklet.

Manufactured in USA.

I'm aware of this. But what kind of technical aspect? Is there a certain pressing that sounds better (with the same mix), or am I getting something wrong here? :)
