We were given the photos that you see here and a few others.Back then, nobody had smart phones and I do not think they would have appreciated us snapping away like David Bailey, you are a bit in awe of the occasion. Looking back,Freddie looked so healthy, hard to think that in just three years this great man would be dead.
Nice. that's a great story.
Nice story about meeting Freddie and you mention John and Freddie seeming close. I personally feel that Freddie's passing hit John very hard and I've always respected his not wanting anything to do with Queen as it is - you can't replace a frontperson/singer like Freddie.
Amazing thread. I don't think any of the band would have refused meetings, photos or autographs the way some useless "celebrities" do nowadays. Now, we have micro-talented X factor contestants and useless TOWIE morons charging extortionate prices for meet and greet etc. Although why anyone would want to meet such imbeciles is beyond me. I digress...
I'm always very impressed when I see stories like this, of how much the band valued thier fans and would happily pose for photos etc. As Ringo once said, "What a great gang o' guys!!!"
^ John Deacon especially for me, two chance meetings - perfect gent.
