This is a great recording too; no disrepect to the uploader but am I hearing quite a bit of digi noise on the transfer (apologies I've only just downloaded and have only heard the beginning of It's Late in headphones)? If true, it's a shame as the original recording is so clear.

Yup - I already posted about it, and was gentle, as you don't want to bite the hand that feeds you. The seeder said he'll check with the guy who gave him the recording on CDR.

It gets even clearer by Liar !

The guy pm'd me at TTD. He said his friend may have used some noise reduction but other than that it is a straight transfer to CD.
thank you

Chin, thanks for the link :-)
Looking forward to hearing this show.
This show is brilliant.

ha ! It's not a straight transfer if it went through noise reduction.

It's actually one of the worst cases of careless digital processing I've ever heard. At the end of Keep Yourself Alive you can hear the worst of it, just for a second - what's supposed to be a bit of analog tape hiss is a whirlpool of digital noise. Listen with headphones.

And it's tragic, because this is one of the greatest Queen tapes ever. If anyone can get this guy to obtain the raw transfer from owner of the tape, plenty of us would be eternally grateful.

I am well aware of the digital noise, I questioned it also.
I merely relayed exactly what the guy said in the PM, you can draw your own conclusions as to how his friend introduced the noise reduction.
Master cassette Tape>Magix Cleaning Lab>CD>Traders Little Helper

He also said the tape is most probably lost forever, but there is one last avenue I am exploring.
Great! Thank you very much for the link!

As long as the clean transfer is still there in WAV, there is hope.

Good luck !

Are those screenshots from the Days Of Our Lives documentary?

I can't help but notice the BBC logo isn't there...
