What QPL need to do is release something unique, such as the Bob Harris footage. I'm sure not too many bands had a professional documentary crew only a couple of years after their initial creation, especially on film!
Also, does anyone know when the footage was originally planned to be released?

The last 20 years have called. They want their thread back.

At the very least, I'd like to see his Brixton gig on SD blu-ray with a 5.1 mix and perhaps God (the dream is over) reinstated...
The remastered video of Since You've Been Gone from this gig on YouTube looks amazing!!

Holy shit, this is good.
I didn't know he put this up.
I'd forgotten what a great band that was. Just smoking good. And Brian really was a good singer then.

I'm not a fan of that tbh. In '93 I was puttin' on my bovver boots and getting suited up to take this sort of stuff on in the first pushes of the Britpop Wars.

Well, I must say that I look forward to the 3D book and Monopoly. The book is very interesting since it's from Brian's hand. And those 3D pictures... Can imagine there are some fabulous shots in there.
Also looking forward to playing Monopoly with my friends and then bore them to death with all the knowledge I have concerning Queen shows.
That said, having a release with ACTUAL MUSICAL CONTENT is what I'm looking forward to most and sadly I feel pessimistic about that. 1977 was an essential Queen year and there's tons of stuff but... Apparently they don't feel like releasing it :-(

I'm still looking forward to the Brian solo box set as mentioned by him and Greg in a podcast a year or two ago.

Sadly I don't think we'll get it, but the Bob Harris US Tour footage, much of it on film, would make me salivate.......live footage, (perhaps even a full gig or two in there?), rehearsal footage, in depth one on one interviews, soundchecks, studio, on the road, backstage, parties.....it's all in there and we've tantalizingly had snippets so far but I'd LOVE to see that released. Could be done in several editions so that there are slimmed down ones and deluxe editions etc...[/QUOTE]
That would be great!

Live Killers box. CD re mastered in its original form. DVD of one of the filmed shows from the period, possibly Hammersmith, and sound track CD of the DVD.
That way we get the original album, we get a DVD/Bluray and we get an uncut complete performance on CD. These could also be made available separately.

I don't think QP will release a remaster of Live Killers. The sound quality is not so good, despite the facto it's a miscellaneous of shows. I'm hopping for a concert or two from that era.

I'm sorry, but I just don't buy the sound quality / loads of edits argument. It is a brilliant live album. I'd say unsurpassed by any other comparable band.

What a wonderful night that was - we were right in front of Jamie and you could see that he was really getting off on it all, let alone how tight the band were and how incredible Brian's tone was.
I seem to recall that Brian was talking about following up BTTL with a blues-inspired album which would have been great to hear.
It'll never happen again.
.......what he ended up doing to Hammer To Fall in '98 is a complete travesty.

I'm very much a "Queen"-man, the 4 of them as Queen and much less so a fan of their solo careers.
While I'd enjoy Brixton, I'm not especially hoping for it to happen. I'd prefer Rio '85 first night complete over Brixton for example.
Please bring on essential Queen stuff.

In Harris' words, it was intended to be seen on TV "around Christmas or in the new year."
And nobody seems to know why it was kiboshed.

I actually quite liked that. It was refreshing to hear a different take on the song.
Many people who saw the shows recall the anticipation during the song, and at the end when he finally did the main riff, it was the best moment of the show.

I love it too. It has three sides of great music, although the 4th side is bloated and indulgent. Haven't listened to it in decades.
2018 is the 20th anniversary of the recorded (visuals and music) but never released Brian May concert at the Royal Albert Hall. I had tickets for seats close to the front but was then told the seats had been removed because the show was being filmed and the band wanted a standing audience because it was more visually appealing. So I had to stand like all the other dupes! Good show though. Maybe it will finally see the light of day.

Just searched out Hammer To Fall '98. Not the sort of thing usually on my radar. I didn't mind it. Would clean up on a Christmas advert for Marks N Sparks.
