There will be a 40th Ann edition of NOTW with new vocals by Adam Lambert replacing Mercury's.

The robot's face on the cover will also be redrawn to resemble Lambert.

Freddie would have loved it!
John Deacon: "I've heard what they did and it's rubbish." "Freddie can never be replaced." Brian May & Roger Taylor - ruining Queen's legacy since 1998.

So would John. AL was his favourite bass player.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

Let's hope they include "Feelings, Feelings": maybe even a different take!

I just hope that if they do release some previously unheard tracks as part of a reissue, we don't have to buy a box with scarves, a badge and a robot Jigsaw for $250 to get them.
(Although I would likely be one of the people who bought the box... but I want it to be a choice, not a necessity)

And it seems the tweet no longer exists. Interesting...

The latest article of Planet Rock says this:

"NEWS OF THE WORLD landed in record shops on October 28th, 1977. Forty years later, it's poised to make a reappearance with the autumn release of an expanded anniversary edition." Let the speculation begin...

Of course we get our hopes up but given the QPL policy from the past it's best to just expect:
- the album (maybe both vinyl and cd)
- an extra disc with the BBC tracks and all the other tracks earlier released as bonus tracks in the 2011 remasters.
- some memorabilia: our beloved robot?

I''m so hoping for a box with complete Harris doc, complete Houston and some extra's (unknown live audio? Etc.) but going by what we got in the past this isn't realistic. Minimal product for maximal cash is sadly the norm.

Although we have to give them credit for the Rainbow releases. I think that release gives us a little bit of hope. :)
