It may be 40 years old but the NotW packaging is much classier than what they've come up with recently. No balloon, for example...

Let me be the first to take this opportunity to ask you if there have been any great releases between 2017 and 2027 ;-P

Also, any great long-shot winners of sports tournaments I might want to bet on say, near the end of 2017 or early 2018?

I don't know what you mean (whistles innocently) :)

I have a framed version of the fake newspaper cover only it says "Queen release monster album" instead of "Current, informative etc" I have always thought it was from the box set but it must be a press release or other promo material separate from the NotW box.

All classy stuff. No balloons anywhere in sight...

(Which is ironic considering the NotW newspaper was always trashy junk.)

Why nobody says nothing about the Houston concert? It was in 1977, it is complete and is from the NOTW album, could be inside that release! I hope so...

- the album (maybe both vinyl and cd)
- an extra disc with the BBC tracks and all the other tracks earlier released as bonus tracks in the 2011 remasters.
- some memorabilia: our beloved robot?

I''m so hoping for a box with complete Harris doc, complete Houston and some extra's (unknown live audio? Etc.) but going by what we got in the past this isn't realistic. Minimal product for maximal cash is sadly the norm.
Although we have to give them credit for the Rainbow releases. I think that release gives us a little bit of hope. :)
The Rainbow release still left a lot to be desired.

Oh yeah, it was so gorgeous release. I don't remember when we've seen something like that.Unfortunately then they were blown away and started release something strange.

Rhys Thomas says years ago that Houston and Bob Harris Documentary was in the works and it will be released at some point, so I hope that now is the time. With that, I will be very happy

I think he actually said along the lines of the footage was great and he'd LIKE it to be worked on and released, but not that it WOULD be.

This is what Rhys Thomas said in that 2012 Q&A on reddit (about the Harrris documentary and the 77 NOTW tour):
"Basically all the filming had been completed but nothing assembled. So lots of footage of the band but it had no linking device. We found the whole thing which hadn't been touched for 30 years. We almost wet ourselves watching it through. There is still a lot more in glorious HD that one day we plan to finish of and release, perhaps to accompany some shows from that 77 US tour."

I was very intrigued then because he mentions: "to accompany some shows from that 77 US tour" Maybe there's more audio than just Houston?

He also said in that Q&A:
"My Melancholy Blues and bits of It's Late as well as Champions are all. These were filmed at the recording for the BBC Sessions rather than the actual record.
Bonus features for Great Pretender DVD are mainly freddie solo related. Stuff like My Melancholy Blues etc are wasted as bonus features and will probably feature on the 1977 tour documentary if and when we make it."

So, there seems to be good stuff from 1977 to include in a NOTW deluxe box.

But, I dare not hope they do it right. If they do I'd be so so happy but now I expect a very frustrating product.

hate to spoil this ... but Rhys isn't a member of QP anymore. Greg is reponsible for the Visuals and artwork I believe.
