Hey matt z,
In the picture you posted don't see Freddie at all.
Hi Dustin Zimmerman,
I don't think that special effects could make Malek's face and bone structure look similar to Freddie's.
The teeth could easily be made to replicate his.
sorry I don't see a problem with it. They're never going to get an exact match but you can't under estimate the power of movie make-up and digital editing. And hey anything's better than that John Blunt trash. The guy really believes he's Freddie reincarnated and expects the world to treat him as such. I think they did a great job the The Jacksons: An American Dream and the guys playing Michael wasn't the closest match they could have gotten either. Your be amazed how many times this topic comes up in the Queen fan circle. Just wait and see. It could be shit. Could be ok. You won't know until it's totally finished. Know'i'meeeen? Lol
Try to work your way through all those typos haha. Sorry
To all QueenZone members who are currently serving or have served in the military. Thank you for your service and Happy Veterans Day!
I too would like to thank all active duty and give tribute to all veterans in this country and in all of the
truly free nations around the world. Maintaining freedom is such a precious gift you provide or have
provided for us daily. Thank you.
Hi Thor,
Besides the Freddie documentary that you and Lee were in, have you watched any others that were either specifically about Freddie or more generally about Queen? If so, were there any that you thought were particularly accurate and well done?
Also....During your nursing career, did you have much occasion to work with veterans?
Hey Rainbow,
I personally did not watch any documentaries about Freddie. After the nonscence of "Freddie's Loves" I was completely
turned off to so called documentaries about his life and did not persue them on-line to see which others had been
produced. I'm not sure if Lee has seen any others but I will ask him.
When I started working in Rehabilitation in 1985 in San Diego, many of my patients were active duty military who had
been involved in car and motorcycle accidents on and off the base leaving them with serious spinal cord and brain injuries.
San Diego is a big military town and all three of the rehabilitation hospitals that I worked in had contracts with the military.
Veterans went to the San Diego Veterans Hospital and I have never worked there.
Apologizing in advance because this isn't a true reply. I've been lurking on Queenzone and this thread in particular for a while and I have a question about using the site. Can I set it up so that I see the latest responses first and I don't have to jump through everything to get to the most recent? Am I making sense?
Hey Katydyd5,
If you are using a PC, just save this page to your bookmark. Mine is on Google Chrome and I can save any
page by clicking the star. Not sure what you are using to get here but I'm sure there is something similar.
Welcome Katydyd5! Hope that helps.
Hi Thor,
I don't know if you got a private message from me last week: it hasn't shown up in the sent folder on my end and I must admit that that function on here doesn't seem user-friendly.
Anyway, part of that was a question, so I may as well ask that here. I know that Freddie loved his cats, but I wonder if he ever expressed an interest in the natural world, either in terms of watching wildlife programs on TV or taking the time to admire a bird or insect that caught his eye? I realise that, given that he lived at different times in London, New York and Munich, he was probably more someone who thrived on the hustle and bustle of big city life, but I do suspect that life in Montreaux was a little more sedate, plus I'm sure his garden at Garden Lodge attracted wildlife.
Thanks Thor. Good idea to save the current page, so I've done that. I wish there was a way to arrange the posts starting with the most recent, but this will work well enough. Now, back to lurking.....................
Hey Birdman01,
Well, we all know that Freddie loved cats. I also know that he loved his Coy pond. Perhaps Freddie prefered nature brought to
him rather than to seek it out in the open. I don't know for sure but in New York in the early '80's the animal he prefered was
"the peacock"...or in other words "the attractive homosexual homosapien." A dangerous yet intriguing animal for sure. LOL
Hi again Katydyd5,
Please feel free to add your comments to our forum. As long as it is not nasty, a lot of us would love
to hear what you have to say. I know I would. At least say hello once in awhile. Okay? Your input is
welcome here.
