Hey stevendabudgie,
Your openess is amazing to me. There is nothing at all wrong with being low-key. I am so sorry to hear about your
long term problems with depression. Lack of energy and motivation definitely go hand in hand with depression. But
by living more low-key than some does not reflect at all on your character. You seem very reasonable, honest, and nice.
Those are great attributes. I appreciate your having joined our forum and I think you will find others here that display
similar admirable character traits as I have found here.

Hi Rainbow,
Well, actually I do not think the earlier '80's would have been good for any long term relationship. Don't forget that
Freddie, once he arrived in New York on a long term basis, felt free to be who he really was. That freedom can be
very intoxicating and I believe he felt he needed to make up for some lost time. There were so many exciting things
going on in New York at that time. AIDS was known but not at all understood by anyone. Not until the mid '80's did
New York's feeling of excitment have a fairly pronounced dampering due to fear.
It was actually good timing that Freddie met Jim when he did. He was ready to leave the fast pacing behind.

Well matt z,
Freddie did have a state of the art music center half a flight up and projecting slightly into the living room.
The few times we listened, to music in the house, it sounded great, but I do not remember what type of system
it was If the '80's was the time of quadraphonic surround sound popularity, I'm sure he had it.

P.S. matt,
I am ashamed to admit this, but I have not seen the movie "TED"...........yet. lol

TED 1 is very fantastic. A good buddy/girlfriend picture. It's not tastelessness for tastelessness' sake as much as the second. And the second has little to stand on...it's like half a film.
I can't imagine you NOT enjoying TED...particularly with the QUEEN homage

Scratching my head here.
U only watched THOR for the FLASH references?
U mean TED, right?
Well. Ted had THE FUNNY MURRAY (*Brian Doyle. .) in it as well. And i think it was a great buddy film. U missed out.
But skip part 2. It tried to be everything and was nothing. ....and probably wasn't even a complete script

I do so.e minor Doing from time to time and last Saturday night some guys in their twenties wete talking about the movie Ted and how much they loved the Flash Gordin theme. So naturally I jumped at the chance and played it about 2 minuted later. It went down so well in tbe bar that I went straight from that into The Hero. What a thrill seeing folk who weren't necessarily Queen fans loving this lesser known music, especially The Hero which I absolutely love. And it was simply because ad that Ted movie that they were into it. More Queen in movie a I say!

Haha matt z, slightly mad and raucousmonster,
OK, obviously I need to see "Ted." Thank you guys for recommending it.
Forgot to add my comment lol do you think he resembles Freddie Thor??

Here he looks like a Rabid animal. Hopefully his performance will change this superficial opinion (*and I've selected only the worst one I've found)

As far as Rami looking like a rabid animal, I wouldn't worry too much. It's not as if Freddie looked fab all the time either. Least this guy will have "movie magic" to fix his features to be more believable. I'm sure you know you can't really judge it based on unedited photos from before filming officially started. Check out this little clip of "Queen" from the filming on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/p/BakLoN7hEA9/
Its just a second or two but imagine that with digital editing and heavy make up as well. Miles better than that rabid animal photo, right? Let's wait and see.

Hey slightly mad,
I think the body form of Rami Malek is almost exactly similar. The facial features do not look like Freddie's at all, especially the
eyes and the bone structure of the face. I'll assume that an exact look-alike who is also a talented actor would be a hard person
to locate. The total look of Malek suggests Freddie Mercury and so, that is good enough for me.
