Freddie's style of humor would be considered high camp. I previously told a story about how Freddie absolutely loved the movie
"The Women." but I don't think I mentioned this other memorable line: "What are they serving?" said one woman, the other replied
"watercress sandwiches" to which the first woman said "Watercress?...I'd sooner eat my way across the front lawn." Freddie
and Lee especially loved that line.
Speaking of Lee, he is now at about page 40 and is enjoying the reading. I've asked him to please correct me privately on any
dates or locations that I might have misremembered. He or I will share that when he has completed the thread. So far, not too
many but I can share this BIG error now. I totally misremembered the timing of John Murphy's death which would necessarily
negate what I have said about discussing AIDS with Freddie after John's death while Freddie was in New York. I am so thankful
to have Lee's sharp memory now at our disposal. I look foward to eventually clearing up any other mistakes I might have made.

"Kathleen's" Lighted Fruit Hat had Freddie howelling and laughing. Lee was the entertainer of our group and Freddie

Recently I've been to a few screenings of FLASH GORDON. ...one had an attendee who drove from OREGON to North Hollywood Just to see a rare screening of a clean 35mm print.
It's gotten some more attention since the Seth McFarlane movie TED.

As I have said, Freddie was proud of all three soundtracks and I never heard anything negative about them.
I am surprised that, as you say, even Flash Gordon was not well received. I had no idea.

^it WAS ambitious, and COLORFUL...but completely tongue in cheek which i don't think anybody "got".....I've also heard and read from interviews that Sam Jones was a last minute decision. ...Dino DeLaurentis was allegedly almost as bad at details/cohesion as the guys at CANNON films....without the insanity and criminal elements of Menaheim.

Did he own a massive stereo station? QUAD surround? .... or was he generally simple at home listening to tunes?

This might be a hard question to answer.....If Freddie had met Jim Hutton during his NYC days in the early 80's, do you think he would have "settled down" then or do you think that simply was not what Freddie needed or wanted at that time in his life? I get the impression from some pre-Jim interviews that he found lasting love rather elusive and that he had been hurt a lot, but at the same time it seems like he rather enjoyed his freedom, dating different people and going out with friends. I can't tell if he was always searching for the one special person to commit to, and that simply didn't happen until the mid 80's, or if he needed to explore a more carefree lifestyle before he was ready for that Jim Hutton kind of relationship. I know this might just be speculation on your part and understand if you can't answer this question.

thank you for your interest, but there´s nothing on the internet. It´s very low key- we do not meet on a weekly basis
The band is part of a modern music school. All my band mates take lessons there and play, in additon, in this band. We have a school festival every summer, where almost all students, no matter if they are beginners or advanced, perform. That´s when we perform in front of an audience
Our band coach who is also the school´s principal considers playing live an essential part of musical education.
The band does not meet when there are school holidays. Many privat music schools close for the time when there are holidays at public schools. So there are sometimes long gaps between our rehearsals.
That´s fine with me. Since my youth I have had problems with depression etc. That does not mean I am sad all the time, but I do not have that much energy. It is mostly comsumed by job and everyday life. If we played more "gigs" rehearsed more I would not sure whether I would have the stamina. When I started singing (age 16/17) I was very introverted, always tired and could not concentrate. I really had difficulties in hiiting the note for a long time, now I can- more or less :D
But I still am sometimes quite irritable during rehearsals. What I mean is: This low-key fashion is fine with me.
I wish I had the liveliness, passion and pizazz Freddie had...
Maybe I subconsciously try to regain my liveless I once had by making music.
