Hey SmokyQuartz,
I believe Freddie was proud of me for being able to handle,
working at the bars, school (then working at Sloan Kettering)
and friendships and being able to tweek my schedule to provide
as much time as possible with him. During those 1 hour breaks,
I knew that Freddie was interested in my work but talking about
children dying of cancer would have been the ultimate downer.
In different settings we discussed my work a little but no particular
conversation sticks out in my memory. He would talk about the
airline biz with John and Joe. Lee (Kathleen) would always keep us
all entertained with his chatting abilities and his antics.

short short red outfit doing anyway?) ...LOL

Hey LOTV,
I am not aware of the last vocal duet. Who is Richard?
Would you be so kind to throw me a link. Thanks

It looks like something with Freddie(of all people)!
She probably assumed he was bi.
Hi Invisible Woman,
I agree that "Find me Somebody to Love" was inspired by Freddie's search for a true love.
And of course, "Who Wants to Live Forever", and "These are the Days of Our Lives" imply
that Freddie was emotionally prepared for his death. What an intriguing way to relate that
bravery through song.
No, Invisible, The only time I knew he had found this love was when I met Jim Hutton for
the first time. I just remember Jim being very happy to be working in the garden while Freddie
entertained us inside. As, I've said unfortunately, I did not get to know Jim. I have learned
more from this thread on him than those brief, casual actual meetings. During the Wembley
concert, Jim got quite drunk and this was the most animated I had ever seen him but it was
difficult to understand what he was saying with his Irish brogue more pronounced than ever.
Sorry IW, I know very little of the courtship of Jim and Freddie.
I DID see the ring, but if you asked me to describe it, I could not

Hi Thor,
What is your most prized piece of Freddie/Queen memorabilia?
What is your most prized piece of Freddie/Queen memorabilia?
Hello again Cyborg,
It would have to be my 1980 "Queen Over America" back stage pass given to me the second day after meeting
Freddie.
Second would be the "Slide Show / Music" compilation, owned completely by Lee Nolan but captures all of us from
'81 to '83 I will be seeing him in Palm Springs over Christmas and though he hasn't brought it out in years, This
year I'm sure he will. I plan to tell him about this QueenZone thread at that time. As Lee has a photographic memory,
I did not tell him yet because knowing Lee, he would correct every date and time and even some stories that I was
incorrect about. When he learns about this site, I'm pretty sure he would be willing to start his own. What pictures
he would be willing to share, I have no idea as he is VERY protective of them...even with me and I'm in them...LOL

@Thor
Jim Hutton wrote in his book that he heard Freddie whispering prayers before going to sleep.
Did he ever give any indication to you that he believed in a God or some sort of higher power?

Damn, I just passed the last 4 hours reading all those pages I hadn't the time to read during september. Awesome day. Ha!
Great Question Prime,
I can't remember ever hearing religious theories or devotions from Freddie.
I don't even know what religion he grew up with because he never talked
about it. Now, years later and faced with his illness perhaps he did have a
renewed interest in religion. I've noticed in many very sick or terminal patients
that they find comfort in reconnecting with God by means of whatever religious
training they have had in their early days. Even staunch Atheists get hope
from the thought of reconnecting with Universe after death.

Welcome back brunogorski !
And, may I say, you are looking lovely.
However, I have to admit, I ate a pork chop yesterday.
So sorry if it was from a relative, but anyway,
it WAS delicious...LOL

@Thor
Yes, it was later on when he was quite sick. Jim made it sound like it was the only time he caught Freddie doing it and since it was out of character it was worth noting in his book.
