Now wait PJUSA,
Are you even suggesting that our George Michael's might have been fantasizing about his bisexuality
in that men's room. I remember a lot of she and girl references in his music. Hmmmm
Haha...well...haha again.
Let me say this. George Michael was a SEX SYMBOL to many teenage girls AND their moms. There was an understandable interest in the '80's and early '90's for George to be "hetero". Not as much "homophobia" as it was exploding the "fantasy". Freddie's situation was a little different as the fan base was male "rock fans"...not so much a teen idol "pin-up".
Does that make sense?
I agree, that all of it is wrong and ridiculous, though, and I'm glad most of the world population doesn't CARE who you sleep with. But such is the natural evolution of societies...

Villiers,
You made my day with that clip...as Freddie would say..."Brilliant"

Thor. Welcome back from your quick retirement. Might wanna add "Ozzy" to your full name (king of fake retirements)...because i officially believe Cher is actually retired for good.
Anyways !
Somewhat Freddie related: Will you be doing anything special for next year's (probable) release of the BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY film?
I'd suggested in a another thread, drawing straws and each subsequent person in a party dressing up as one of the band (*no duplicate costumes! : first straw gets first pick) each super fan dressing as a band member from a different era/video etc. ...that way...there would be a lot of ridiculous looking people, probably mostly Freddies and Brians, but it'd be a heck of a laugh, particularly if able to score tickets to the premiere.
I've got to find Queen fans and start this somewhere. But that was my idea.
If it doesn't take off, I'll probably just rock a band t shirt.
Also...another real question:
Did Freddie listen to his own tunes often at the lodge/apartment? Did he ever watch his own performances on tv/cassette?
Some artists notoriously claim they don't listen to their own music once it's done, and don't watch/listen to their own performances

Thank you shvili,
I did not know that the record signing thing even happened in New York.
The pictures are very FUN...thanks so much. (and what is that girl in the
short short red outfit doing anyway?) ...LOL
Thor ... She is getting her T-shirt signed, and getting a kiss from Freddie ...
What did you think she was doing? LOL
OK ... it took me several tries to figure out what she was doing ... as I was distracted ...
Hey matt z, old bugger, Ozzy here,
Only once did Freddie view one of his works at home with us there. Brandon was not
familiar with opera at all, so he gladly showed us "Barcelona" and said ..."oh just listen,
just listen (he always repeated himself when he was excited) She is singing from
her c**t " (Sorry ladies but he did actually say that but not in a derogatory way at all)
He used this same phrase for Jennifer Holiday (Effie in Dreamgiirls ) when she appeared
in the audience at his Saturday Night Live performance. LOL

@Thor
Did Freddie ever seem to "blush" at attractive female adulation? Not that he was attracted to them but that he was in someway "flattered" by it because he knew how so many males would LOVE it?

PJUSA,
We never saw any females except Annie Lebovitz but she was a lesbian and that does't count.

Sorry the last post was the complete edit encapsulated as an "edit". Please read that post.
Gay/Straight...very segregated in the Reagan '80s in the US
Haha...how many lesbians were in the gay clubs in the early 1980's?
PJUSA,
If you were lesbian in the '80s you went to one bar only (at least in Greenwich Village) called
"The Duchess" right across from Marie's Crisis my first bar job. I used to venture over there
once in awhile when Marie's needed rolls of quarters to borrow. The workers at the door ere
very friendly. but two extra black leather curtains hid the clientele, so I never got a good view
of what might have gone on there. Lesbians were ultra-secretive of their life style in those days.
They did not YET enjoy the freedom that the drag-queens from Stonewall provided.
