Man, he really trusted Mary if she oversaw his profits. Yikes...she didn't have to answer to anyone.

I am waiting to hear the real story from one of YOU. I said "I THINK" so I am in the clear..haha
I am not interested in fabricating stories especially when it comes to Mary.

HaHa,
Do you mean like clip coupons to find cheaper toilet paper at the Piggly Wiggly
or Kroger's....ahhhhh.....let me think....ahhhh...NO!...LOL
For household things and food he had Peter and Joe F (in London). I think Mary
worked like an accountant/manager of his business profits.
Then of course HE chose Cartier for the clock he gave me . He could have chosen
Kaye's Jewelers...LOL (for non American's... Kaye's is a discount jewelery outlet
here with about half of it's inventory being costume jewelery).
Man I almost fell out of my chair laughing at this response! My girlfriend is looking at me like I'm nuts!
Clipping coupons...Kaye's Jewelers!!!!!
Thanks for the laugh, Thor. My chest is hurting from laughing so hard.
PJUSA...wink!
Noorie,
I was so happy to hear that "Freddie is the toast of the Parsi community!" Before your comments, I had the impression that somehow Freddie's conduct was embarrassing to your community and therefore his accomplishments were not celebrated. Thank you for clearing things up. I bet he would be so proud!

My first Queen album was "Live Killers". I was probably 18 at the time I got it. Except for the BoRhap video, I had never seen any pictures of the band before. This album had a collage of pictures and I was particularly drawn to the one with Freddie wearing the black biker pants, jacket and cap. "Wow" I thought, "He is gorgeous". I remember my boyfriend at the time, who was with me as I looked at the album, saying something to the effect of "You know he is gay". I didn't really believe him (not sure why) and wondered how he could possibly tell he was gay just from some pictures. He pointed to the one of Freddie wearing the silver jumpsuit and said "Look at him". Never having seen the band before I didn't even realize that was also a picture of Freddie. I seem to recall that at first glance I had thought it was a picture of a woman. I didn't quite know what to make of that outfit. Very puzzling. It was hard to believe it was the same person. But overall, it didn't really matter to me.
Anyway...fast forward 37 years. I still have the album. I recently dug it out and saw that on the front cover under the title I had written in pen
"THE BEST!!!" and on the back of the album under the title I had written "THE GREATEST!!!" Such a teenage girl thing to do. I appreciate Freddie's audacity at having worn that silver jumpsuit...and that picture of Freddie in the black biker outfit is still one of my favorites (and I still think he looks gorgeous)

Hey Shvili,
I missed reacting to your earlier post. What a lovely tribute to Georgia and Georgian people.
I've never been there but with this insight into your country, I'll bet I would love it. Hey, maybe
after a visit to Georgia, "Geor, Geor, Geor, Geor, Geor, Geor, Geor, Geor Georgia [will always be]
on my mind. LOL...sorry Beatles.

Hey Justin,
I don't think I ever met John Reid, but the name sounds familiar, so possibly
I did. Sorry, early dementia on my part...LOL (a joke only)...I know how devastating
dementia can be. After Parkinson's for 8 years, my mother went through dementia
for the last two years of her life. She didn't recognize me for her last year.
Oooh, I think I gave too much information...sorry for the pity story.

Great story Rainbow...I enjoyed reading it. Thanks so much!
Hey noorie,
Is "Parsi" the same as "Farsi" which I thought was the language of Iran (Persia)?
Maybe the "P" is pronounced "F. Could you let me know? Thanks in advance.

Thor,
A touching story...not a pity story at all. Thanks for sharing.

ALL,
I realize that I forget to address responses and questions sometimes. Please do not hesitate
to repeat the question or reply that you might want to get a response on.
I really don't mind if any one of you ask a question that was asked before. If I say "I covered that",
please don't think that I am scolding you. Now that we are at page 56, if I tell a story for a second
time....You certainly can tell me so too...in a friendly way...LOL

way you are...please. It's a pleasure to read your words. Thank you girl!

I think this is correct yeah. She was a secretary to his household accounts. Maybe he had experience of bookkeeping with her retail job and that's why he trusted her. Risky considering she had no qualifications let alone accounting experience, but I guess she got the job done. He did have an overall accountant though.
*cough* still think she's cold and not keen on her *cough*
I know that I was the one who said that it's better to talk about other things than about illness.
And now I'll ask the question about it.
As we know, Freddie decided to stop taking medication for AIDS.
I wonder why he did it that.In your opinion, why did he do it? Did he ever hint that he could do it?
If this question was already there I apologize and you just skip it.
