Invisible woman ,
..."None of us knew Leonardo da Vinci, Napoleon, Mozart, Nikola Tesla, Dostoevsky...but people still talk about them and are interested for their lives. "

Right.... except that their biographies were written by historians after doing research and by not tabloid media/ghost writers who have been trained to write stories that sell -and- if it suits the story line better- at the cost of fact checking. Although that stuff you refer to has been copied and pasted over the time and gradually taken a life on its own, it does not mean that inevitably everything you seem to be so attached to is necessarily correct. --If Holly Golightly was interviewed on Santa Claus's origins, and she replied he's from North Korea, you'd also believe that, right ? :) :)
( Obviously I exaggerate, but hope you get my point )

I wish that were true...
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

kokax,

I didn't mean is the truth or the untruth.
I only said that people will always be interested in the lives of celebrities, scientists, politicians, musicians, actors, etc.
And what is the absolute truth no one will know.
No one can know everything about the other person even if sees that person every day or lives with that person.
But everyone can have his own opinion and some his own conclusion. It is for a person to believe or not believe in something that hears, reads, sees...

That was what I wanted to say with that post.

Sebastian,
to put it more modestly : at least , if you search for a biography on a historical person, chances are you 'd find some more reliable authors than those who usually work for the Daily Mail, The Sun etcpp.

Invisible Woman... thanks, got it !

Yeah. There, I agree.

Dear Thor,

What is the proper way to pronounce Mjolnir? Is it very heavy?

How do you feel about Chris Hemsworth and his depiction of your life? Are there any details missing in the films?

Will you be watching THOR:RAGNAROK?

Really though:

Have you been asked about being depicted in the upcoming "QUEEN/FREDDIE" film?

And something FUN: If you could authorize casting. ..who would fit your bill as A) YOURSELF and B) Freddie. ....etc.

hello, thundergod, i'm a huge Freddie Mercury fan and also I am a huge fan of New York - can you, please, say what were Freddie's favorite places in New York? what were his favorite parts of the city? What was that thing that he liked so much about NYC as about a place where he lived?

Thank you in advance.

Respects.
Oh, dear...

The only conflicting story you said Thor was when you said Freddie was never intimidated by anyone and Cabelle was the one who was nervous when the two met. I watched the Freddie Mercury Documentary numerous times and Peter Freestone (that's his name right?) clearly say's Freddie was a nervous wreck when the 2 of them met, and told Mike Moran he wasn't going alone. The Freddie/Cabelle combo was one the highlights of his career for me, and my favorite of his 80's work.

Ditto that sentiment about BARCELONA.

As a unit, it easily trumps any QUEEN album (*unfortunately) from the 1980's. And sadly yes, even with songs like WWTLF, GAGA etc.

I Agree! I even like it more than The Game, which I like a lot as well. At least half of the Game was recorded in 79, but is still an 80's album since it was Released in 1980. I wonder what a Barcelona 2 would have sounded like. I know Freddie said it was a difficult album to make, and sounded like he would never do it again, but over time I think he would have gone back and recorded with her. He was full of ideas, exploring new sounds. Maybe he would have had Cabelle sing on a Queen Record.

And, in that case, the motto 'she is Freddie's favourite singer' would actually come from the horse's mouth.

Aretha, Cabelle, and perhaps plant were his favorite singers going by freddie's interviews over the years. He mentioned liza in the early days. Aretha/Cabelle I think were 1 and 2. Guitarist goes to Hendrix

In his book Jim says that Freddie was very fond of listening Aretha Franklin,Dionne Warwick and Natalie Cole.
He also said that in his last days Freddie mostly listened Natalie's album Unforgettable... with Love.

Thor,

Firstly, I would like to thank you for breathing some fresh air into this community. It has been really stale here over the last 5-10 years.

Secondly, thank you or the stories. I believe you should write down and document your memories in a cohesive fashion. Perhaps publish it at a later date. Let's not forget, there are very few survivals of the early 1980s gay scene, so even from this angle your memories are invaluable to humanity.

Thirdly, I would kill for some pictures from that era. Queen was at its peak in 1980-1982, so anything unpublished that you could share would be a joy for all of us.

My only question to you, in fact I ask this all famous people: what did Freddie eat for breakfast?

Cheers!!!
