Thanks Thor, I surely felt the adoration they had for each other.
Also Villiers asked something about Freddie's artwork, is that correct V.? I was interested in the answer too :)

Oh yeah. The question was about his drawings. Ive seen a few handwritten lyrics on scraps of paper with little doodles and sketches along the sides from boredom. Did you ever see him sketch at all?
It IS in my phone but suddenly not available for a text message or a phone call.
Dang :( she asked good questions. If I remember correctly she also helped calm a fight down from a few weeks ago. Hopefully she will see your message but I do believe she said she was unsubscribing after the fight. Maybe she just unsubbed from the thread and not from private messages.
Dustin,
sorry I missed your post earlier!
No no, I didn't, that love for smile is a platonic love I have lol, I wish tho, as we all I guess :) When he "went away" I was only 4 years old. And yeah I've been reading on the internet many fans reviews and almost everybody said how kind and sweet he seemed. Lucky people.

RBoulain did you know Freddie in person? I don't mean it in a bad way or argumentive sense but it's the way you worded it that made me ask. "I can't like another smile since his". If you talked about knowing him before I'm sorry. I haven't gone through all the pages entirely. I only knew 1 person who met him in NY once. She said he was very nice and agreed to give her an autograph. He did always seem to be kind to fans always
Villiers...some good news I think. I went to the PM list and found our conversation about the "demanded"
picture of me by some here, I think from page 45 or something. Hopefully she will respond. Thanks for your
support. I told her most of us miss her already!...I know I do.

Aw that's great! She was sweet! Let's hope she comes back.
Villiers,
Unfortunately Freddie never showed me his own personal artwork. Didn't he go to an art school just like
John Lennon did? And isn't that where he met Mary?

He met Mary in a shop; she'd dated Brian. He did have someone else at art school though
He went to Ealing College for art and graphic design but he met Mary at a Biba store. Well, brian was actually "dating" her lol. They kissed and nothing more, apparently. Freddie asked brian if he could take her out and he said yes. College years, but not at the college :)

Yes, the girl before Mary was from Art college. She recently wrote a book called 'Life, Art and Freddie Mercury,' I found it really interesting because of that era (early 70's holds some fascination for me, magical childhood). Her name was Rosemary Pearson but when Freddie got famous she changed her name to Rose and dropped the Mary (too many people were seeking her out thinking she was his current Mary). So as her surname is now Rose, it is Rose Rose who is the author of the book.
I haven't read the book myself but only reviews. I read someone said she wrote Freddie started crying while making love because he was feeling attracted to men, is that correct? Maybe a bit too personal lol. Is it a worth read? I'm looking for new books.

There is actually a fictionalized story based on her relationship with Freddie out. The character George is heavily inspired by him and basically it's the author's ideas about the kind of things that might have been going on in Freddie's head during his relationship and his early days hiding his sexuality from his band Ermine. There are sex scenes too lol.

I can't remember that specifically. He was very emotionally involved with her but at the same time she said that he would discuss his concerns and preoccupations with men with her. At that time he was both approaching and avoiding the issue, from her description.
I would have to read the book again to give a more objective view on it, but, if like me you are fascinated by those times and Freddie too, it's a good book and written by someone who I think genuinely cared for Freddie, all be it in his much much younger days and long before fame.

All,
Someone a long time ago asked me what other famous people I had met or know somewhat. I ignored it at the time because I usually
don't like name-droppers. But since someone ASKED me, I have a moment and I will type it out now.
I served dinner to Barry Manilow (cheap tipper ...like 8% while the normal was 15% to 20%)
I met Roy Cohn through Lew Katz at his house on Fire Island by what I thought was just a coincidence. It was 1977 and I had just not been
admitted to Medical School. At this time I had no idea what a criminal Roy Cohn was but I did know he was the main lawyer during
the "McCarthy Era" and that gave me some pause. He told me that he knew the Directors of a Medical School in Ohio (I forget which one)
He seemed sincere about helping me and invited me to his mansion in Greenwich, Connecticut. After a nice dinner and a lot of booze,
it became obvious that if I wanted to go to that Medical School where he had connections, I was going to have to have a sexual relationship
with him. I left in a hurry and drove back to New York (It was the evening of the famous NEW YORK CITY BLACKOUT. I actually got to see
the Empire State Bldg. go dark as well as everything else). So weird.
I also served dinner to Alan Sues if anyone remembers the show "Laugh In" (He tipped well..lol).
I met Bette Midler when her bathtub overflowed in the bar I worked at Marie's Crisis two floors below her apartment.(Very apologetic and sweet).
When I worked for 2 years as a stagehand (my father's and grandfather's main careers) I met many of the soap stars whose names I do not
remember.
I worked on the set of Saturday Night Live in the very early days. I set-up the beach scene for a skit called "Beach Blanket Bimbo" Gilda Radner
could not have been more lovely. Signed an autograph for Joe Scardilli (his favorite comedian) and gave me many compliments when she looked
over the set I had built (no, not designed).
At Studio 54 I met Truman Capote, Andy Warhol, Liza Minelli, and Margaret Trudeau
Through Freddie, I met Cliff Richard and Dave Clark .
I sat next to the box at Wembley where Mick Jagger was sitting, but he didn't seem to want to meet anyone.
I've met Olivia Newton John twice in front row seats where I was able to ask her a question as part of her routine. And met her once with her
uhhh.... "business partner " Pat, at Macy's in San Diego for a "Koala Blue Store" meet and greet. When it came to the photograph, I said ..Hey,
I'd like Pat in the picture too...LOL Olivia was thrilled to have her girlfriend..I mean, business partner, included...lol
This is getting boring so I will stop here.
