Who follows it here?

It's become like a warzone, mostly between Queen fans, and Queen+ Lambert fans. It's like deja vu.

I've unfollowed it before, because I'm not a fan of Lambert and don't enjoy seeing the Queen+ Lambert stuff in my newsfeed (nothing unreasonable about that on my part, Lambert fans!). I just think the guy looks tacky, aside from not liking his voice / style. I'm not a fan in the slightest.
I did re-follow again a while back, but with the new tour, I end up seeing Lambert in my newsfeed again too much.

I am still interested in new releases (the News Of The World reissue as me curious), and the Queen stuff that pops up on the page, but when a Queen+ tour is on, I eventually unfollow it again until it passes. It must be easier being a Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd fan in that sense.

It'd be nice if there was a separate page for the Queen+ stuff, but then it's all about promotion, and they'll use the Queen page for that, what with it having the biggest audience. Still a bit shitty for those who don't rate Lambert.

I don't think of the Queen+ Lambert stuff as Queen. Well, it isn't. It's a separate thing in my mind, something I'm not a fan of.

Does anyone else feel a bit the same way here?

I have lost interest in any aspects of the tour since they dropped It's Late and Spread Your Wings. Even though I have bought tickets for Sydney 2018, it all is such a rehash of past concerts, despite the excellent production. As for the box set thing, God knows whether it will be worthwhile or just a hatchet job.

Stop whining already. It's so annoying that people like you keep pushing your "opinions' down people's throats. Especially on Facebook. Here are some of your greatest hits:

Adam isn't Freddie
I don't like Adam
Adam is too gay (yeah, people actually said that)
There's only one Freddie
etc etc

Get a fucking life.

Amusing mini-tantrum.

I understand from what you say that you take issue with folks voicing their opinion if their opinion differs from your own, but surely you ought to be able to cope with differing opinions on the internet a bit better than that by now?

And no, they're not my "greatest hits", I don't comment on the Facebook Queen page. Him being gay makes no odds to me whatsoever. As for whether I like him or not, he seems like a nice enough chap. However, as an artist, his singing / performances aren't my cup of tea.

I should think it's attitudes such as yours - those who want to silence differing opinion - that plays its part in others voicing their thoughts all the more.

Maybe somebody will be astonished about it, but I do not have Facebook page and I have no intention of opening ,so I'm not following.

As for this conflict about which Day dop say, I do not think it makes any sense.

I once wrote in a some topic here.To me Quen = Freddie,John,Brian and Roger.
But I understand those who like Adam or don't like him and I understand the members of the band who wanted to continue live performances.

I respect everybody's opinion but I have my own: liked it to someone or not, Adam is not Freddie. That's the fact.

Too right, Invisible Woman. No Queen without Freddie.

It has nothing to do with "silencing differing opinions". Because, hey? What about MY right to say YOUR opinion is stupid? ;)

It's the sheer arrogance behind it that people(like you) think that "others" need to know their "opinion", but essentially they're just rehashing other "opinions" they've read on social media.
My so called "tantrum" comes from this fact. We get it now. Ever since Queen played with Adam for the first time during Idol we get to read all these moronic opinions. It's enough.

It's also the constant barrage of filth, homophobia and ignorance that's hiding underneath (sometimes in a not so subte way i must say).

You don't like his voice? Don't listen to it and don't go and see them live. Done. No need to open another thread about it.

You are also not Freddie. I'm not Freddie.
Freddie isn't Freddie anymore either for 25+ years. Move on.

Dear Fairy King,

You're being exactly as obnoxious as people who randomly start agitating against Q+AL. Please stop. You accuse people of "the sheer arrogance behind it that people(like you) think that "others" need to know their "opinion""

Guess what? That's what you're doing too.

Dear Casper,

Really? You? Talk about hypocritical. :D

Missing the point again entirely as usual? And you, the principal lefty pc police should know by now that just "ignoring" doesn't help. We know since last November that just ignoring it doesn't really help. ;) Yeah, i made it political.

DISCLAIMER: My post wasn't 100% serious. Sure, the frustration is real, but unlike you i don't have the arrogance to even remotely think that i can actually change the minds of these morons. Next time pick your battles carefully and accordingly.

Except I'm not telling you to "stop" anything. You can continue, by all means.
I've not made a big deal like you have over peoples opinions on the internet being "pushed down peoples throats". They are opinions, nothing more, nothing less. I don't throw tantrums like you over differing opinions.
Nor have I resorted to telling anyone to "get a life" beacause I'm oh so offended by their differing opinion.
I find your reaction both bizarre and quite somewhat amusing.

You have every right to say that my opinion is "stupid", although that in itself is a tad ridiculous, being as music taste is subjective, and I originally followed the Facebook page as I'm a Queen fan (not a Lambert fan).

And peoples opinions that differ from yours on this subject are "sheer arrogance"? How dare they! Simply because those people share their views? You're aware this faulty logic you're spewing applies to you too in that case, right?

And those who you disagree with are "rehashing" others "opinions"? So... going by that, are those you agree with rehashing opinions too? Or that only apples to those who you don't agree with?

You say that your tantrum comes from that "fact", but what you seem to be confusing is fact and opinion - and your opinion is based on shaky logic at that.

And now you're complaining about homophobia, which has nothing to do with what I've said whatsoever. Nothing - at - all.
You then go on to say "You don't like his voice? Don't listen to it and don't go and see them live. Done."
I don't listen to his voice anymore, nor would I go see them live again now, but thanks for your fake concern.

As for the last bit you said, "No need to open another thread about it"... as much as you'd like me to shut up, I think I'll open plenty more threads about it in future. :-)

I very much agree with the topic.

i am interested in anything related to the original line-up, but I couldn't care less for Q+AL. To me these are two VERY different bands with each their expression of which only one suits my taste.

It would be nice to be able to unfollow just the Q+AL updates.

Ugh.
Now tell me what exactly is the point of opening a thread about this? What is it that you want to achieve?

To see if others feel the same way regarding the official Queen facebook page. Y'know? Communication? Chatty chatty?

This is the "general discussion" part of this form after all.

Would you rather my differing opinion was silenced? Why are you so bothered by it to the point of losing your shit? (rhetorical question).
