This is indeed gold, nothing I had ever imagined, WaTC is ace, the guitarparts in WWRY are hefty!
Isn't the WaTC version Brian and Roger did with Robbie Williams in some way in the same vain as the RAW! version? This with the extra guitarparts.

You should really think about shaving ur ass.
That kind of growth could lead to excessive sweating. Maybe try permanent laser removal.
I hadn't hoped to see that. ...but. ..

This stuff really is really, really great....but those shouting 'these tracks alone are worth the price of the box set' are way off. This is indeed the sort of gems we can expect to see throughout the second disc as advertised; however it still doesn't make up for the fact that the box should be a lot less in price, or alternatively have two or three discs like this, or be sold with the vinyl separately to justify the price tag.

If they cared about their legacy and wanted to further the brand, two of them wouldn't tour with that loser as their new front man.
For the record, I don't mind them touring with whomever they want to ... they could make an album with Justin Bieber for all I care... but I just hope they'd also released more stuff like these raw takes. Maybe one day they will...

Agreed. These tracks alone show that they've got loads of priceless gems but prefer to carrot dangle us.

I fell out of love with WATC for about 20 years and has only been recently that I had one of those 'fucking hell that is an amazing recording' moments. Then hearing it like this - the same but different - takes me right back to being a little boy listening to greatest hits for the first time.

Here's my attempt at isolating Freddie's vocals, I'm sure somebody could do a better job though! :)

I always thought the 86 live version of WWRY sounded the best with the guitar playing along with the drum beat almost before the lyrics begin. id like to have heard that in a studio version.

Both WWRY and WATC are on Spotify as of Today.

Remember the "good old days" when you could pick up these things shelved in a plastic sleeve around a digipak marked "EXPANDED EDITION" and they retailed for about twice the price of a regular cd, because there were TWO?
I think this was around 18 or more years ago that it BEGAN. ....usually from MCA/UNIVERSAL (WINK WINK), or a property of CBS/COLUMBIA (*i own expanded versions of SRV, SANTANA, THE WHO & BLACK SABBATH albums)
...they usually featured alternate mixes. ..and were mostly available overseas.
Yeah. About $24-29 bucks depending on the retailer.
I remember those.
This reminds me of that,
...only super INFLATED.
Yeah. That's the word.
Since i will likely pay rent and car. ...I'll probably miss out on this set and only grab the tracks from disc 3 (cd2) from online sources.
I find that pretty sad.....cause had it been packaged as a stand alone double set, or even triple disc (as everybody else does) then it'd be pretty incredible and would sell pretty well.
Stupid idea, though....sorry for the ill-conceived stupidity

I think I'd pay more for less if this was more stuff that was worse than this.

This version of Champs feels like a genesis of Friends will be Friends, which lets face it was an attempt at re-writing it.

That double bass-drum beat at 2:52 ... (WATC)... Nice!

Interesting to hear, but I'd sooner hear proper alternate takes as opposed to Frankstein-ed composites.
Yes, but that would mean a disc of WATC, which is clearly never going to happen - remember back to the FM box which also had composite outtakes.
Also bear in mind that there once they had a backing track, everything else is a composite anyway, as far as I understand it. Would they have kept early backing track attempts? I doubt it, but am wrong often....!
