It's 2005. Some guy says he has a complete alternative version of News Of The World, including a live version of Sleeping On The Sidewalk. It's $200. Do you want it? It's all perfect studio quality. I'll tell you, after hearing it just now, I would have gladly paid that. Spread Your Wings might be worth the price alone. Freddie's vocals are extraordinary. Tears of joy inducing extraordinary.

For anyone in the US who hasn't ordered the set yet and might be interested, I just found a great price for it at ImportCDs.com. As I write this, they're asking 108.99 for the set. But, when you put the item in your basket and enter the promo code of TAKE10, it will take 10% off the box meaning you'll pay just over $100 for the box with shipping!

For me Spread your Wings and Who Needs You are the highlights- but it is all amazing. Took me back to being 13 again and listening to it for the first time on day of release...!

Just watched the unboxing video and I must say that it looks awesome! Unfortunately, I'm still waiting to receive my boxset and then I have to wait until December 5th that I'm allowed to unpack it.

The unboxing video raised one question with me: The posters that are included, were the part of the original presskit or are they extra with the boxset? One of them specifically mentions an advertisement of the Houston show. Probably wishfull thinking, but can this be a hint for a very soon to be release?

Re-cut of LP is fantastic. [/QUOTE]

Is it much different from the LPs we all bought back in '77?
The way I see it is it's just a generation higher than what would have been sent to the record plants for cutting.
If I'm wrong, I'm open to correction!

Actually, it's a generation LOWER.

I have just watched the DVD and there are some notable differences. No spoiling but around 90% is from the BBC tv version but there are some new or extended bits and the ending is the real surprise. Oh, check out the menu which is amazing as well.

Still lotta people asking for the second disc but nothing... some of the good QZ spirit is gone.

Minor bummer, but still bummer: the Queen News of the World 4-pg "newspaper" release is flawed. In the centerfold with the 4 solo headshots - only Brian May's has his bio underneath. The other 3 don't have their bios, as they were in the original - there are only white spaces under their photos. It's included in the 40 Years of Queen book, where at least it's correct. Why is it off in the $150 NOTW box set???
