Would you folks consider Adam Lambert a "rock star"?

LOL! What you call „the biggest mistake in rock-history“ sells out venues around the globe. They can’t even meet all the demand. And besides that, they and the audiences look completely, if you ask me.
I‘m sure, most people won‘t call this a mistake. Most bands would even be more than happy, if they were able to do that mistake. I‘m just happy and thankful, to be able to see and hear them live!

By mistake i meant, replace the greatest frontman there ever was with a guy who was a nobody.
Sure Lambert has more girls fans than boys but pretty boys always do.
Freddie was all about raw talent, raw energy and been absolutely original and to write his own music, but cant really say that about sugar lips Lambert!

The question of the topic itself is stupid. Lamebird is a plastic dance artist and has no connection to rock music. that shows in his underwhelming performances where he destroys rocks songs each time he tries one. The worst ever must be his "Whole lotta love "version. I have never heard anything worse than that in my entire life. Absolutely disgusting. look for it on youtube. Funny how the Glamberts bring this up as an example of how great the parrott is. My gosh - how delusional can you get??????

That was 9 years ago and his voice and he himself has evolved greatly in that time frame. I don't even think the great Freddie started out as a rock God (I have read that in many places). There is no way that Adam would perform like that now and his voice is also much different. I don't think that is a great example of his prowess!

All of Adam’s performances of “Whole Lotta Love” (over 100 of them) are AWESOME!

Nope LOL.
You have posted the covers of him singing WLL many times before, and no one I would call awesome. It's proof to me he can struggle with the rockier music. I don't know if he has sang it in recent years, if so I hope it's better than his earlier covers of it.

A lot of people think this one is the best:

Sweet Caroline thanks for proving my point., This has to be the most embarrassing version of WLL for the next 500 years. Seeing it performed as a lounge version by an overweight transvestite/EMo-Ladyboy yodeling himself thru the song. I almost had to vomit. He is not even destroying the Queen songs that much. This is absolutely atrocious., YOu have to mean this "being great" to piss people off right????

Ouch, that almost hurts to listen to. I'm not one of those people who think that's one of the best. The song doesn't suit him.

hurt is an understatement. >This is pure torture

FGS it's a song, one interpretation. What difference does it make how he sings it when it's his own show. He does what he likes, same as thousands of people singing everywhere, covering songs in their own style. That isn't even a Rock version, it's acoustic, one of many versions he did and which his own fans loved. Guess he didn't realize he was supposed to be sticking to some sort of blueprint on how to sing certain songs in case they got judged seven years later. No one but his own fans would even see all this stuff it were back in the 70's with no internet.

It is one thing to do an "own interpretation". But this is a real joke. And SC posted it as "proof" of his abilities which is just the opposite and is showing that he is utter garbage as he is on the Queen tracks.

Well as you say SC posted it, not me, I merely pointed out that since it's not Queen related it really makes no difference to the current situation. And since it was in 2010 and bears no resemblance to what he does currently with Queen I really don't see that it matters.
· Member since
It surely bares a resemblence as a) she used it to "proof" that Lamebird is fitting for Queen and b) he is not better on the QUeen songs.

I haven't heard him sing any Queen songs like that and I wouldn't consider if proof of anything other than the way Adam chose to perform that one song on tour, nothing more.
