Lucy was a great song performed live on Adam’s TOH tour! His female dancer performed while he sang and his guitar player performed a great solo!

The promos for JCS mentioned John Legend, Sara Bareilles and Alice Cooper but not Brandon Victor Dixon who had played Aaron Burr in Hamilton on Broadway:

It sounds like Victor is the breakout star from all this. I almost wish JCS didn't unsettle me so much, I'd watch, but I've read great things about Victor.

I wanted Adam to get the part of Judas in the NBC production but I don’t know if he wanted it, pursued it or was considered for it since he was still doing the QAL shows in Oceania. But I posted about the fella who did perform the role because he was a standout despite not being promoted as much as the other leads in the show![/QUOTE]

I've stayed away from posting in this section until now, due to the uberfans and the anti-fan Gerry/happystar broken record type of comments.

But this made me totally roll my eyes. I won't discount that I could have seen Adam doing the camp of King Herod (though I preferred Alice). I could also have seen him do Simon Zealotes

But....Adam wouldn't have been considered for Judas if he'd been unemployed, with zero plans, and living next to the theater where the NBC production was performed. He has zero, zilch, natta.... as to what that character requires. To say so is just silly, ridiculous, and totally misguided.

Victor Dixon. He. Stole. The. Show.

So then, dear lass, please provide us with a link of Adam singing JCS.

I actually did sing 'Gethsemane' on stage for a trial. I would share parts during the rehearsals so that the lead would not strain his voice. I could not do the Ian Gillian or Ted Neely 'anger screams'. We'd actually have someone do a shrill trumpet during those parts, because the director wanted to hear the piercing shrill without ruining 'JC's' vocal chords.

I could 'read' and 'sing' Judas' parts, but the pain and anguish were things I could not approach, nor did I want to. I could do fill ins during rehearsals, up until the end of side 3.

So.....I did Simon Zealotes. I had the hair, the tan,....and my crappy facial hair that I could grow then fit like a glove.

So......because 'I sang it'....'I could do it' .....and 'it was pretty good'....doesn't qualify.

As Lewis Black said above, dear person, 'you are delusional'.

btw.....this is going to be fun to hang out here for a spell

I've sung 'Heaven On Their Minds' on stage decades ago in an audition. I did not have the 'angst' in my vocals when needed, because it tore at my throat. My persona, my look.....it's why I tried out. But I didn't have the overall grit and 'growl'. And I really wanted the part.

That was years ago before he even became known and done musical theatre style so not a good example.

Just wondering what you mean by angst? I thought that meant the emotion of anguish - why would that tear at your throat? If you mean the ability to rough up your voice (rock scream) then Adam can when he want's.

I hadn't listened to JCS and that link to wasn't working but found another on YouTube. Was expecting Brandon to sing it rock style based on what you said but he doesn't, not much grit etc so not sure why you think Adam couldn't do that anyway.

Here’s an article about Adam being excited regarding Alice Cooper being cast as Herod:

He sang Heaven On Their Minds before appearing on Idol or singing with Queen.

I saw Ted Neeley singing “Gethsemane” LIVE and I don’t think anyone else can do that rock scream better than him. John Legend was a good Jesus looks wise but he has more of an R&B voice.

What the heck? Someone wrote an article about Adam being excited or tweeting about Alice Cooper? Ooh exciting gets a crappy article write up?
I wasn't expecting AL to be involved with JCS...busy guy and all that, but don't let that stop you from wanting and needing him to be everywhere and be involved with everything. And here comes the crappy history lesson from you in which you ust had to say he sang songs from JCS before.
By the way, do you still think Alice Cooper is a freak ;-).
