Thor....so glad the plumber was able to make a "Breakthru" and that you are no longer "Under Pressure" worrying about this! Since you didn't get a chance to do any "Lazying On A Sunday Afternoon" on Easter, here's hoping this next Sunday will be far more relaxing! :)

Doughnut, Freddie had one of those voices you cant replace.Think about Ozzy Ozbourne how could anybody replace that voice? Black Sabbath couldnt.Queen wont be able to either but they do have the right to do what they know and make music.
Thor I'm absolutely chuffed for you! What a relief that must be! What a crappy weekend you must've had though. Dealing with all the mess and having that worry hovering over you like the sword of Damocles.
Re Brian's guitar solos, I believe it was Gerry Stickell's who said that during guitar solos when Brian got carried away John would throw peanuts at him ! LOL! Bless him!

Thor, glad you won't be financially responsible for the plumber. Those guys make a good living! Mine has replaced several sump pumps, water heaters and garbage disposals for me. I love the guy, but he always seems to be going off on cruises after he does my jobs. Hmmmmmm…...
Please file this under "Stupid But True". I'm obsessed with prime numbers. I wear 7 silver rings. One of them has Freddie's name engraved on the inside. All the others can be easily removed. Freddie's is solidly in place. It won't budge. I suppose it could be cut off with a blade or torch. It keeps him close to my heart.
Thor -
I am glad to hear that you will sleep well tonight, and that the association was honest.
However, I am somewhat concerned and hope that your flooding has not left any significant lingering major or minor annoyances.
My coworker had a toilet valve break spewing water while away for the weekend a few years ago, and consequently he was out of the house for a few months while repairs were ongoing.
So here is my onslaught of questions ...
Does your condo need drywall or floor repairs? Does it need any special cleaning to get rid of any odors? Is there any risk of mold in the house?

Thor - glad your water issues are resolved - what will you ever do with your time now that you don't have to worry about your sink overflowing?? Gardening maybe?? I hear you can grow some good turnips.
Chevyman - I don't think you can be a pain in anyone's arse - LOL

Saint Jiub,
I have my industrial fan blowing over all the wet areas. Hopefully I have caught it in time to not have mold damage. Thanks for your concern
And all others...thank you for your concern too.

Thor- sorry- I am a little behind- no more jokes:)
On another note- I was wondering before this thread began ( including the last one, too) how many years had passed since you seriously started thinking of all those fond memories of Freddie- or did certain things always trigger memories throughout the passing years?

Thor, I'm a condo owner, too. I live in a part of the U.S. where many of us have basements - not very common in California - that are sometimes prone to flooding after large periods of rain. Mold is always a major concern. I attached a link from the CDC "Homeowner's and Renter's Guide to Mold Cleanup After Disasters" (https://www.cdc.gov/mold/cleanup-guide.html). It also recommends you take photos. I hope it helps. If there are any INTERIOR damages in your BR, the costs should be born by your housing association, because it's the complex's fault. It shouldn't come out of your personal homeowner's insurance, that would typically cover interior damages. Do I make any sense? I've been doubting my brain lately.
Jo T.,
That make PERFECT sense...Thank you!

Thor,What is the difference between an apartment and a condo? We dont have those where I live.
On a brighter note, have you all seen the awesome video for Five Finger Death Punch's "Black and Blue" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8NQUbLQGio) already? Brian May appears 3:25/5:14. OMG, what an entrance he makes, as he reaches for his Red Special! The man is a guitar god. You can't deny his guitar prowess. The song's proceeds go the Gary Sinise Foundation that supports American soldiers, veterans and first responders.
I need to make a Freddie-related comment. Yes, it was endearing how Freddie introduced Jim as his "husband." He was so proud of him!
