Hi Thor/Lee,

I know you have been busy this week with flood Thor, believe it or not I am also in the process of drying out our house after we discovered a small leak which once we'd find out about had turned into a LARGE leak, not any fun as you will know.

I had an earlier question which you may have missed due to the issues you have had however I would be interested in knowing what you think, here goes:

"I have just been watching the 'epic' Flash Gordon movie, truth be told I only watch it for the amazing soundtrack. It did get me thinking though back to your time with Freddie as I recall a story that Freddie would have been keen on Sam Jones (i.e. Flash Gordon) however he was too shy to do anything about it. Did he ever mention him to you guys? From the earlier photos of yourself in the early 80's Thor I would say that you and Sam Jones were quite similar so it wouldn't surprise me if Freddie was attracted to him."

I cannot wait for the book and for further news on it, Christmas will be coming early when it arrives!!!

All the best from Bonny Scotland (Lee, did you find out anything more on your Scottish heritage?)

Wow... I didn't know about medical marijuana being practiced in the USA. I've got a bit of a cultural shock right now:)

I wanted to add about John Murphy rumours, I don't think people entirely make this up. My understanding is, they base it on Paul Prenter's interview. I wanted to read it for myself once, to see what was it exactly that Paul said. I couldn't find it on the internet, the only variant of it was in the form of newspaper photos listed on some site (eBay or something like that). So I had to basically read it with a magnifying glass. I typed it, you can read the result here (sorry if I read something wrong, the letters are too small and blurry):

It is Paul who mentions that John Murphy visited Freddie in Garden Lodge in 1986 (and I'm not sure if he means John was visiting alone):

"John was at Freddie's home in London a few weeks before his death and had to rush back because his lover, who also had AIDS, had taken a turn for the worse."

Katydyd5: Yes, I've read Aretha Franklin developed a fear of flying sometime in the '80's. That's probably the reason why she didn't attend the Tribute concert. I'd think she would be one of the first persons to be invited.

Oh lord. Freddieandjimforever is back on Instagram as jimandfreddieforever. Fingers crossed she plays it differently this time. I'm fine with her posting all she likes but let's hope she's done with the lying and strange behavior.

JoT, My PTSD is Complex PTSD caused by childhood trauma so they say I will always have it.My father has it too.He was in the US Vietnam War
.When he came back he was really messed up.So when I was born It was pretty bad growing up so they think that's what caused my PTSD.

Hi

Thor I hope your plumbing issues are in the way to being solved and cleared up now. Water can be a terrible foe!

Yes, I feel very lucky to have my Little Freddie (though he DID set me back a pretty penny!)

He settled in well. As I have some time off work I've been able to show him around and introduce him to Big Freddie (the singing one) and Medium Freddie (my custom made boy) and Funko Freddie! He's very impressed by my good taste! :-)

Doughnut, you asked what he sung to me : He sang "Somebody to Love" and I said "Darling, you've FOUND somebody to love you! _I_ love you! (Me and half of the world :-} .......) He sat on my lap this afternoon and watched Midsomer Murder, though he did get fidgety! He's such a hyperactive boy! LOL

Enough of this silliness!

Suffice to say I'm very, very chuffed with him and every single penny feels well spent!

Hope you all had a good Thursday.

TTFN from FD and LF!

Awww Freddie is going to live being with you Freddiedarling, he is pretty awsome as is the cross stitch . Does he have different heads ?

Re the tribute concert , I can't bear to watch it although I've seen George Michael and he sung somebody to love amazing . George was pretty fantastic. Why do we loose the good ones so young .

Russialand that is,the famous Paul printer betrayal of Freddie . Ive not seen what it consisted of before and boy he certainly sold Freddie out ! Awful.

Thor Paul prenter claims Freddie slept with John once and then they remained friends

I wonder if Freddie did ring Paul and say how scared of aids he was ? They were friends then so it's possible and Freddie surely would have been worried seeing as aids was getting a,lot of coverage by then and the life he lived . When you see it all in print like that it sounds awful. Poor Freddie and Jim as he was outed in that article , according to his book .

flipping spelling again.....it's worse when I use the Kindle ...arrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Hey Logan Mews,
Although Freddie was proud of his contributions to "Flash Gordon", I don't believe he ever mentioned being attracted to Sam Jones. If you think Sam Jones is attractive and think that I (used) to look like him, thank you very much for the compliment!...LOL
T
Russialand,
Oh my God! John Murphy passed away LONG BEFORE Freddie had succumbed to this dreadful disease. Give me a break!

I went to see Flash Gordon at the cinema but I can't for the life of me remember the story. Have you seen 'ted' as he makes an appearance in it , it's quite funny.

Mark Wahlberg is one of my fav actors .

I thought John passed away earlier than Freddie Thanks for info. They really need to let that poor guy rest in peace along with the many others that have been accused of passing that virus to Freddie.I dont think he worried or wasted time trying to figure out who gave it to him.I think that subject needs to be buried.I know if I would've contracted it back then it was basically a death sentence so I would create me a bucket list and do everything I wanted while I still could.
