Thoughts on Thor Arnold and Lee Nolan's eleven year friendship with Freddie

To answer your question blenk, in the 70s he filled out a fan club questionnaire. He was asked what his favorite book was. He said Peter Rabbit.

I like his answer to 'What's your dream?'

"To remain the divine lush creature that I am."

How camp!

And yes, it was filled out by his own hand. So for those who aren't familiar with his handwriting in the 70s, have a look. Pretty cool.

But according to Peter, the only thing he ever saw Freddie read entirely from front to back were the little books in New York that listed all the gay clubs and discos around the area. Thor, maybe you remember those.

Freddie himself said he didn't read very often. He wasn't one to pick up books. I don't think he was patient enough to read a novel.

I googled it and it means "male homosexuality". It's a term used in England. I'm laughing so hard lol. He was so outrageous.

Wow, that is excellent. I hope you will read it to her. My sister and I remember the name as Strubbelpeter but we must not remember correctly,
because even the spell check says Struwwelpeter...LOL

Maybe Peter meant he read it before he met you, Thor. Its in his book. But yes, I too would be using you for knowledge about the community at the time. The internet wasn't a thing back then so if you wanted to be where the party was, you needed friends who were on the know! I'm so glad he had you guys. Sounds like Peter had his share of fun with you all too!

Thanks for Freddie"s Questionnaire....that's Really cool!! I believe Freddie was always telling us in one way or another about his true self.....always in our Face....so obvious we missed it!! That was a small part of his GENIUS....And what I love n admire about him most!!!!!!

HaHa, there were two books, Spartacus guide (helpful in non-US/Canadian places) and Bob Damron for more accurate,
up to date locations in the US and Canada.

Don't worry pg 30 and 31. Some questions are multiple and if I go back a page to check for more, I lose what I have written in this box.
So it is more difficult. i'll try to tackle it tomorrow.

Thanks for the fan club questionnaire. That was a lot of fun to read.

For his weight Freddie put 8.5 stones. I had to use a conversion calculator I found online to figure out what that was...about 119 pounds. I know he was fairly slender, but wow, that seems pretty light!

My great grandmother had severe crippling osteoarthritis.

My maternal grandmother died at an early age.

My mother was spared this, but she was NOT spared from Parkinson's.

I have it worst in most of my knuckles on both hands and my left knee. I had a knee
replacement 10 years ago My right knee did not act up until this past July and my
left shoulder has acted up in October.

My sister has it in both knees (with replacements) and both of her knuckles. Just
about the same time I felt it in my left shoulder, so did she.

Genetic?...yes, unfortunately!
