Thanks for reminding me of this hauntingly beautiful song. A true hidden gem among Brian's oeuvre.

It is a hidden gem full of emotion, definitely one of the best songs that Brian May ever wrote.

What's with the level of snarkiness on this site? Jeez. A guy posts something about a Brian May song, a thoughful, brief entry.

Maybe he could have written 'Here is a link to a recent blog post I WROTE on MY BLOG about Brian May's wonderful song Dream Of Thee.'

Is there something wrong with someone 'promoting' their blog with an 'on-topic' article about a musician that was part of a band I thought most people came to this site to read about?

I hadn't thought of that song in some time, always loved it. I read the post and listened to the song again and loved it once more. Anything wrong with that?

I agree. As a blogger it seems to me entirely fair to point to a blog post of one's own - if it's germane.
