This performance of WWTLF in Melbourne last night is EPIC — both vocals and light show:

WWTLF keeps getting better. He is starting to add a "bell or a whistle" of his own lately and I love it! It is nothing major, but just puts his stamp on a song. I could sit and listen to his voice all day long. It has to be one of the best!!
Absolutely horrible to listen to. As expected he is starting to yodel the song to death and is partly simply too late on the verses. Absolutely unlistenable voice
All of the disbelievers need to read this review from a fellow disbeliever:

runner Just listening to U2 One from last year, jeez he keeps changing the melody, mixing up words, coming in late and what's with that weird jeeeezus he keeps doing. No need for that riffing, it wasn't in the original, sounds nothing like it's supposed to.
Fucked up one of my all time favourite songs.
This is sounding familiar..................Oh wait!!
rockchic65, are you talking about Bono and One or Adam when he sang it back in 2009?
SC Bono, U2 concert from last years tour. runner is a big U2 fan.
I was at the U2 Joshua Tree anniversary tour show last year and don’t remember any changes to that song.
I was taking the piss with runner keep saying Adam is coming in late on songs, riffing or yodelling as he likes to call it, changing the phrasing etc.
That said Bono did change a couple of the words, did some elongated jeeeesus and came in late once or twice, all intentional I suspect. It was a follow on from another convo where I pointed out that singers very rarely stick to singing things in the original style and that what Adam does is interpret the songs in his own way.
And just in case he's reading this I was being serious when I said it's one of my all time favourite songs ever.
rockchic you even did not impress sc with your sad and wrong drivel.
No she just didn't get the irony. And I wasn't wrong.
Incidentally just been listening to some live STL Queen from 77 and Freddie was always riffing and changing it up, changing the phrasing etc. Really don't know why you keep making a big deal of that when all singers do it and Freddie did it all the time on most songs.
Freddie made it his own- with LÖameturd it sounds off and annoying and forced. AS he is always trying too hard
But that is just your opinion. To some people Freddie may have sounded off and annoying - would that make it a fact? Horses for courses.
I loved Adam’s unique interpretation of “One” .....

I loved it up to the 0.51 mark but for me that's one song that would have been better following the original melody and keeping it softer, I wadn't keen on the switch to the harsh high part, not saying it was bad, just that he could have done a better job of changing it but still keeping his voice softer. I did love the drop from high to very soft at the end though. One of my favourite things about Adam's voice is his control, that ability to go from loud to soft, high to low etc.
