I'm not backpeddling, There's nothing specifically wrong with it from a technical point of view, just I would have preferred it done differently. But again that's subjective, other people may like the way he did it. Maybe it's because it's one of my all time favourite songs. I preferred the recorded version to the live Idol version but still prefer U2's overall.
Well finally something to agree on, U2's version is best. Amen.
That acutally is not one of my fav covers from Adam. I liked most of the others on Idol better than that song.
Yeah, change is gonna come and If I had you were my two faves. I would have loved cryin if the backing singers hadn't sabotaged it, probably not intentional, but still. I do love the studio version though and from a sheer technical masterclass point of view the studio version of feeling good with that note near the end is amazing.
