20th Century Fox has moved up the release of its Freddie Mercury movie Bohemian Rhapsody while delaying the release of two X-Men movies — Dark Phoenix and New Mutants, the studio announced late Monday night.
Rami Malek stars as the flamboyant Queen singer in Bohemian Rhapsody, which has moved up from Christmas Day to Nov. 2, 2018. It takes over the release date from Dark Phoenix, which has moved to Feb. 14, 2019, where it will open against Paramount’s Mark Wahlberg-Rose Byrne comedy Instant Family.
It looks like this is very positive news for the movie. Its moved up with over 1,5 month. Some reactions from Twitter:

Cade Onder: The fact that Brian Singer bailed on Bohemian Rhapsody during filming, had heated arguments with Rami, and was replaced at some point and time and Fox is STILL moving it up instead of delaying it says something good about that movie...

seems like good news.
According to german movie site tobis.de the screening in Germany will start on December 27th this year.
Fox must think this movie has legs if they've moved it to early November. If they thought it was garbage they'd have pushed it back to the January/February dumping ground.
Doesnt mean it is good of course, but the studio obviously think it can compete for decent box office. This is very positive.

Fox is doing what they think will bring the movie most success. Cash in? They are running a business and the point is to maximize income. What world are you living in? The term "cash in" is over used and in most cases pointless.

A ton of money is at stake when Hollywood puts out a major film, and there are hundreds of people in the machine who make all the decisions for various reasons. There is not a chance that people in the Queen camp are telling Hollywood when to put out a film.
Besides, it's a 1 in 12 chance that the film would come out in November. Maybe when it's released on November 24, then we can revisit this topic.
