Is it true they planned record live album at that time but they gave up due to Freddie's voice?

This 1989 Record Collector magazine article says the UK shows were recorded. Sources close to the band have since denied it...

Even if they weren't recorded these concerts, we have very good recordings from that time, so we don't need official release. Thank you for answer!

This would be "Arena" not "Stadium" for clarification purposes.

All the responses to a juvenile newby who has never expressed 'why' they are so interested or fascinated with the footage (if they are juvenile in age).

Sorry, but after all of these years, I'm surprised at the quick replies to some individuals who may not merit any answers due to their short history and apparent obnoxious behavior.

if your asking why I asked if there was footage, it's because I saw some video of Brian May sitting down and saying, "Sorry, its his birthday hes gone home." and he says that at Wembley 1984.

I was fortunate enough to be at all 4 Wembley Arena shows on this tour. First two of which i was second row front and centre,
Mix up in ordering tickets from fan club resulted in me having to walk round London ticket offices to get one for 3rd date which i managed but seat was side view.
Had to buy from a tout for 4th night and best i could get was front balcony to rear right.
Loved the shows, some issues with the rig at points ( think it was Freddies Birthday ) took a different friend with me for 1st, 2nd and 4th shows all hardcore Yes/Genesis fans seeing Queen for the first time. Glad to say they admitted to being blown away by the whole show and had a new respect for the band after seeing them live.
Also went to Paris on same tour atmosphere far better than Wembley.
Happy memories

On another note i remember on coming out of the 3rd show when heading back to the station a guy was selling bootleg tapes of the second night. 2 TDK tapes for £10 which was a lot of money back then.
Listened on the guy's headphones to make sure i was not buying a blank tape and sounded good quality so i purchased.
He gave me 2 tapes from another batch and as i boarded the train it dawned on me i still could have bought 2 blank tapes.
Thankfully when we got back to the car and popped them in they worked.
Think i still have them somewhere in the attic ( no cassette player though lol )
An expensive tour with 4 shows in London 1 in Paris 2 T shirts and a programme plus transport travel and food but worth every penny of my hard earned savings at the time
Seen loads of great bands since but nothing compares to Queen live

badbobly : Ah great post and yeah i saw Queen live on there amazing Magic Tour back in 1986 and that was a great show at Newcastle St James football grounds.
Going back to 1984 i also saw Freddie & the boys at Birmingham NEC in septemeber 1984 and was amazed when they treated us all to a rare Queen gem "Great king rat"
Freddie looked awesome in his white leotard with black lightening flash! As you say great special memories which us ardent fans will treasure forever !

LOL, it's that 44 confusion again. So you're 54/55, then. Did you get photos? Always great to see new snaps of the band :)
