Well it revolves around Queen and by default Adam since he's been singing with them for years but that's just on this board. Outside of here I love lots of music, not just Queen or Adam, although like you Queen are my all time favourite group.

What a load of shite HS. Before this post, I had only commented TWICE out of all the posts you've made on this forum, and the comment about bogging the forum down is not just about you, it's about everyone who makes the same posts over and over again - everyone has made their point, what's the point in going on about it? This thread is continuously near the top of the forum and there's no need.
And at no point did I ever, ever say or intimate that your opinions don't matter. I valued your opinion the first time - repeating it at every cut and turn devalues it.
There was also no need for your pathetic attempt to flip my comment back on me, as I had not made it personally about you. Perhaps an indication that the others have been right about you :(

Stating that there are other cultures with artists revered higher than your favourite artist isn't my "opinion." That is called a fact.
Methinks you need a crash course in the difference between opinions and facts. Clearly you aren't able to differentiate the two.

End of the day, the rock world including many of the most well respected musicains, the music press, and millions of fans that attend the global concerts have embraced Adam as a worthy successor to Freddie, and everyday he hangs out with Queen, on and off stage, he knows more about them and what they think? and how they behave? then anyone on this site now, he has been taken in as 'family' by the band and crew, and while his detractors sit and moan, his earning a fortune each day working with, eating with, talking with and sharing what will be Queen's swansong.
So no matter whatever insults people on that well respected font of knowledge 'The internet' throw at him, he's having the time of his life, and it's lasted from 2012 till now with no sign of slowing down, so I suspect you guys are talking to the hand...
Must eat you up that while you sit in your bedrooms moaning, he's out there laughing and chatting with Brian and Roger and hearing tails of Freddie that we will never ever know about....

Secondly so what if he is eating , breathing performing with May & Taylor so what??? Many artists have performed with them, does not make him head and shoulders above anyone because that comes from ones talents and without May & Taylor your Lambert would be a pile of shite in the gutter.
Freddie got Queen up and running so forget the fake in Queen now and look up to Freddie and have some respect man.

Think you are missing the point of the post - he said Freddie's successor (following on from) not replacement or copy. Adam does say he's not trying to be Freddie (clearly he's not) why would he? He gets respect because for the last six years he's been out there doing one of the hardest jobs there is (following in Freddie's footsteps) without mimicking him, and he's done it respectfully. And as to talent, well that speaks for itself, like Togg said he's well respected in the industry, the music press and by the fans as a worthy successor, you don't get that without talent.

That's exactly it, Even the music press have accepted him and headlines around the world from many of the harshest critics have stated that the current shows are a worthy successor to Freddie and the songs.
i saw Freddie many times, I started following Queen back in the 70's, and the reason has always been because of the vastly divers cannon of material and the desire to push into new areas, if you think the fuss over Lambert is harsh, you should have seen the fuss that was made after Jazz or Hot Space or when Radio Ga GA came out, the music press were slamming them and fans were leaving in droves
Now with the exception of a small few, critics and fans are delighted that they are getting to hear the band playing 'those' songs before they become too old to do so, many of whom never got to see Freddie
I've seen Adam three times now and I have to say the way he delivers the songs is extremely powerful and with so much more passion than when Paul Rodgers was on stage with them, sure I'd love Freddie to still be there but after 27 years I've had plenty of time to 'get over it'...
I was devistated when he died, I was at his house in the evening laying flowers, I was at the tribute concert, but I'm so grateful Adam is out there with them, I love watching them play seeing Brian and Roger and hearing that guitar...
I will be at the UK shows again and will love it at the front of the stage, I feel sorry for those that are too blinkered to take part, but if anybody thinks it's a mass of people... it's not, watch the crowds at the gigs, nobody is shouting at Adam, nobody is there hating him,everyone understands he is respectful and talented enough to step into his shoes and sing those songs so that millions can still enjoy it
If there had been a massive backlash from the true fans, nobody would have gone to the shows and the band would have stopped.... but as we can see that didn't happen, and they are playing to as many if not more people now then they ever have.

^^^ The above and Togg's other post along with rockchick's post sum the situation up, unfortunately there are those who will always fail to see or except what's really going on.
Their are other intelligent and respected people on this forum who don't particularly like what Lambert does with Queen or just don't have any interest. They have aired their views in one or two posts and discussed the subject subjectively, without insult to Lambert, BM or RT or the people on here who don't agree and enjoy what the band does.
You'd think others could approach the subject with the same open mindedness and respect for other people's views.

That to me is one sided shit. Many Queen fans were i live hate Lambert & co.
Why would Queen fans go to see him if they slated the band off in the 80s after Hot Space?
Today that band is a tribute band of its self, they are not conquering new ground they are too terrified to record an album with Lambert so that is how much faith they have in him.
Lambert talentless and all he can do is sing Queen karaoke, and gets paid for it like some holiday camp artist. He is hardly a rock icon. Yous lot on here are so sad.
