Too much Watc and Wwry[/QUOTE]
Yeah, I agree, they're too popular compared to other songs. I almost left out half of them, but then I figured you can easily ignore the ones you don't care about, so I'll just leave them there.
As a matter of fact, I discarded a number of versions (mostly lower quality recordings), and I think I could have included one or two more very popular ones but ultimately decided against it. I'll still do something about it though.

Don't know about the music but the list is great. It reminds us there is no Queen band anymore, only a long list of collaborations between the two founding members and a lot of guests.
Since the topic is "unusual", the most unusual thing to me in 2018 is still referring Brian and Roger as Queen - a band of two, a guitarist and a drummer, both mediocre vocalists (and mediocre composers in the absence of a highly creative environment), who spent the last decades not writing any new material and not hiring any new band members.
But they own the music and the brand, that's true. Then maybe the whole issue is a legal one, and instead of listening to all this junk we should better read their contracts.

I know these tracks may not be for every fan (I myself ignored many of them for years), but I think there's true brilliance in some of them.
Check the guitar solos in TMLWKY (Momo Cortés version) and WATC (Robbie Williams version). WWRY with John Farnham is a novelty after the first half, and the second Foo Fighters track features a great Freddie Mercury impression by Taylor Hawkins. Brian sings a few lines in WWTLF (Jennifer Rush version). TATDOOL with Band Du Lac is a refreshing version too, and so is the well-known LOML (Extreme). Those are the highlights to me and there's more goodness in many other tracks, if you can appreciate it.
Also, listen to the good doctor talking about how he composed '39 in 1976...

No. Thank you, Barry and Panchgelis - "The Friends of Mr Canada".
Since i've heard my "word salad" is so distasteful, i cherish any reply which does not mention my English limitations.
